"Elpis is a rich and fertile land of dense, hard to navigate forests. Its woodlands begin tucked up against the Sky Mountains on Persephoneia's border and cover most of the kingdom's territory. The weather here tends to generally be mild, though well marked with their features: in winter, snow; in spring, rains and flooded rivers; in summer, gracidea flowers bloom; in fall, the changing of the leaves. Most of the traveled paths are situated to follow the rivers scattered throughout the region, because the thickness of the forests and great distances between landmarks can make the kingdom difficult to navigate without a guide. Some of the older forests are so dense that they've become favored haunts for dark and ghost types. The floodplains are ideal for farming and while some areas have been cleared for agriculture, hunting seems to be preferred over ranching due to the richness in pokemon diversity and population."
