My first try with Photoshop. I need to learn how to use it, I am an uber beginner. So rather than start some big ass project from scratch, I started small. I redrew this (see my gallery for the original pic) and colored it in with colored pencils. Then I scanned it in and played with it, cutting it up into layers, applying filters and just screwing around. It was fun, and I learned a few things.I wanted something soft and prettiful. That's what I got. Hope ya'll like.

Wow, nice work. You got shading and everything in there. For being your first attempt at photoshop its quite good. I do agree w/ you though, Kagome does have 80s style hair. Still, thats an excellent pic.

Thanks so much. I wanted to learn the basics first, and decided to screw around and get a better feel for the program first. Hopefully, my work will continue to improve. You'll be seeing more 'work' like this!

hehe that's exactly how I started- using it to spiffify my arts before I delved into a complete comp coloring job. You said you wanted something soft- my only complaint is the skin seems a bit dark- but even that isn't that bad.

Well, Kagome has big hair, so the dark coloring of the skin is more shadowed due to her 80's style hair.
