I like the expression.. that in itself says "step aside"

as for the shading, textures, and lighting...

it looks interesting and I like the effect of the clothing 'absorbing' light, where she seems to be 'glowing'

whether desired or unintentional, the image looks nice

I'd just prefer not to mess with PWsurface2 and UberEnv together. It's too much trouble. UberEnv satisfies me enough (I've just learned, look at my "I don't wanna" image, that's the best so far).

However, something that gets me here is her clothes. Is it uhh... velvet that doesn't shine? Or is it leather? I know that if you add UberEnv, it takes your specular away, so you'll need to add a specular light to get that shine back. And maybe you didn't edit the clothes (which are usually Poser only) to fit DS better.

And again, the "sheen" on her skin looks like she's lighting from within (UE does that if it's too bright). Maybe lower the brightness of the lights and add a specular light, see what happens.

Over all, this is a great scene, love her serious pose and sexy body! The light's good too, just gotta work the technical parts out

you know, I've used Novarien before and it is a kind of shiny leather. I wondered why the gloss was gone. I'll try that specular light approach in the future. Thanks!!!

I like the character very much, and her determined stride hints at a story...someone is in deep trouble!

That shading effect that Maggot34 mentions is similar to something I've seen before, a result of IBL maybe?

Yep. Uberenvironment 2 gives you the best lighting results pretty much possible with studio, but when you use it with Pwsurface2, the two both sample occlusions differently I think, and they compete...where things become shaded, it's like the math is different and you get some mottling that's most apparant on skin. I'm actually trying to find a way to lessen or work around the effect with this piece and a couple others. You basically have to kick the occlusion samples beyond the preset limits, which definitely lengthens your render time. Alternately, I'm wondering if you render the image very large and then shrink it to normal size, if they won't be so minute as to disappear. Something I'll be trying in the future.

Poser throws up similar clashes, which is why I'm never all that keen on IBL. I need to use it more, I think, to get to know it.

Nice pic... Not sure about the shading on the inner side of her right leg and the outer side of her left leg... Looks more like stubbly hair to me...
