Description
For use with my new Neo ("Neo Neo") blanks, sized 2000x2798. There are two Dragon symbols, as this time I've included both the official Dragon texture (with its less saturated colors) and the Neo Redux Dragon texture (which is a more saturated orange). Keen eyes may noticed I've changed one of the longest-running non-TCG symbols: Flying. For years, I've used a feather, but after release of XY and clearer screencaps of Diantha's Radiant Chamber were available, I've decided to update the symbol to the corresponding Flying symbol. Now, only Bug, Rock, and Ice have remained consistent through Neo Redux's lifespan, although I already have plans to update Bug as well (which you can see in the Neo Neo blank download pack here:[ www.dropbox.com/s/0akc3qudp517… ]). Each symbol was recreated from symbols that were only 32 pixels wide (from my old Neo Redux blanks), so it was a unique challenge.

CMP, I assume it's not too late to bring this up (since you're going to update the Bug type symbol) but have you considered using the Science Medal from the Pokémon TCG GB game as a Poison type symbol? Or maybe just the stylized skull of the one you already have? Altough I like your own, I think they would be a bit simpler and more unique.. Either way, fantastic resource. Thanks so much for doing this!

Eh, I was never a fan of the Science Medal as a symbol. It had briefly crossed my mind back in the early stages (2009-10), but I don't think it's as obvious for Poison as the Koffing symbol. Plus, with the Bug symbol as it exists now, I don't think having two heads/faces would be a good idea.
Ironically, out of all of the custom type symbols, I'm the biggest fan of Poison. I think it has the perfect amount of simplicity -- it's already a stylized skull and crossbones -- and complexity. It certainly isn't as simple as the Water symbol, but it's less complex than, say, the Fighting symbol. I try to draw reference from official sources when I can, and the Poison symbol comes straight from Koffing (although, admittedly, this makes it unlikely to ever be used in a hypothetical "official" TCG situation). The Poison symbol I dislike the most and would never use (despite some canonical uses) are the poison bubbles. Bubbles remind me too much of water. This is mostly an Eastern vs Western thing, too, just like the color (purple in the East, sickly and/or dingy green in the West).
Feel free to make your own Poison symbol to use, though! That's part of the fun of these completely editable blanks. I'd love to see what you come up with, and I'm glad you like them. Put them to good use!
