Description
Part two: [link]So this is PART ONE of about 4 or 5 parts (maybe more like 7 parts? lol) for my super huge tutorial I am working
I have a lot of people asking how I use the tissue for blending, so it inspired this super tutorial!!!!
Not even finished with the eyes yet lol and this took at least three hours. I might be done over half the piece by now otherwise! jeez
Love making things like this though!
Thanks!

LOL
the small dog is important!! If you can't find him/her under the couch, I do suggest getting a picture of a dog, and cutting it out, and putting it near your art drawing area.
lol

There are loads of tips and techniques that can be taught! I just had to figure out a lot if not all of them on my own because I didn't have internet most of my lfie lol

nicely done.
the first part is always a drag for me...
trying to get every line perfectly takes forever 3-4 hours of work
after that, the fun part begins
shading
is your room messy all the time like mine?

illogan In reply to tvlookplay [2009-10-06 15:38:52 +0000 UTC]
YES!!!
lol
I just can not keep it clean!! There are just clothes, papers, books, and now random horse stuff like blankets, supplements and buckets lying everywhere!
ugh
lol
Yeah the first part of any drawing always sucks *puke
I try to make it as short as possible while keeping the face as accurate as I can.

Ah, I found your tutorial rather interesting. You do things I don't, but probably really should, such as ruling my page and drawing the facial 'landmarks'. I tend to start with some random feature, and work my way out . This is shaping up to be some lovely artwork. Keep it up!

illogan In reply to El-Flaco44 [2009-10-06 15:40:17 +0000 UTC]
I used to do that as well!
I always messed something up though so I had to find a more 'accurate' way. Accurate for me at least, everyone can do this part differently. Some people actually grid thier image and do a matching mathematicaly matching, scaled grid onto thier piece of paper to transfer. That sounds like cruel and unsual torture to me lol

I remember gridding from primary school. A nice technique if you don't mind spending 2 weeks on a drawing

illogan In reply to El-Flaco44 [2009-10-07 14:48:10 +0000 UTC]
ugh we had to do it for 'quick' sketches for a couple of weeks at university, it made you faster at grids but still!! A half hour just to make a grid?! No thank you lol

Haha.. not worth it. But you seem to do fantastic work without it, so there you go.
