It... is... finished!!! OMFG!
After completing [link] I had to busy myself with another impossibly long Photoshop challenge.
In true =Illogical-Lynx style, I also had to try at least a hundred new things that I'd never done before and had no idea how to apply, and lucky for me, most of them worked!
I was going to add a bit more debris and stuff around the edges and maybe even some glowing sparks and stuff but I think it looks all right as it is now.
Aaanyways, Antak Koadamee, my Elite character laying down cover-fire with his custom automatic carbine. The blade attached to the bottom is not an energy blade but rather a vibro-axe which utilises ultra high frequency vibrations through hardened metal alloy to slice through most compounds with ease. You can also see part of the duelling knives that Antak wears on his forearm armour.
So here we have it, the last *counts* 4 months of my progress on Photoshop including my first ever detailed digital background. This took 3 months less than last time... maybe the next one will be done in 1 month?
Well I can hope can't I?
I still have the .psd file stored away with all the layers, so I can make adjustments if anyone sees anything they think could be added to this.

I never really liked the plasma weaponry, a real gun makes a BANG when it goes off.
The only other covenant weapon I really like was the energy sword, but Antak is only a Minor so he isn't allowed one yet.

Hehe, I was rather pleased with Antak's weapon of choice. To be honest, with the exception of the Energy Sword, most of the Covenant weaponry is pretty uninspiring (and Antak's only of minor rank so Energy Sword is out of the question for him). However, I figured that with a bit of tweaking, the carbine could be a pretty awesome weapon.

the beam rifle is my weapon of choice but i am no sniper i think of it as a slow rifle that and every heavy weapon imaginable

I'm a sniper all the way. Sniper and BR for me all the way. In the game, I like the human sniper better, simply because it sounds and looks cooler, but I think that a real beam rifle would be a much better weapon- It'd be silent, invisible, travel at the speed of light and be unaffected by wind or gravity. There's not much more you could ask of a sniper rifle than that!

Awesome! I have just one question about the Carbine...
I understand the plasma bayonet, but what's the metal thing on the top of the Carbine? It kinda looks out of place on a purpley weapon like that (being silver and all). But overall, awesome!

Antak has a very high interest in the workings of machines. He likes to pull things apart and put them back together again. His carbine is an ongoing project of his and he's modified it to fire automatically rather than the standard semi-auto. However, the original clip became too small for the increased rate of fire so he attached a larger drum-style magazine to hold more rounds. It's a bit of a jerry-rigged device that he built and added himself so it does look a bit out of place, but it does the business.

Our University halls of residence are all linked by a giant LAN network. The hub is like a chatroom crossed with a fileshare program. Everyone can connect to the hub and chat and share stuff. We also use it to organise large-scale LAN games.
