Description
Which District are you in?I did a little research and made my own map based on basic common sense and some simple conjectures, as well as facts from the book (some of which were a bit conflicting, which made it hard to integrate). Original map from [link]
I MADE THIS MAP FOR FUN. IT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE PERFECT - THERE ARE ERRORS, AND I AM WELL AWARE OF THAT, THANK YOU.
I'm just a regular fan who wanted a visual representation of the Hunger Games world. Keep in mind that I made this map in about half an hour, and there are far more accurately researched maps out there (such as this one [link] ) which I would suggest checking out for a better idea of where the districts might be. I hope you enjoy this! Feel free to share your ideas as to where you think the districts might be, but please, be considerate, constructive, and polite.

Surprisingly enough, I'm in the east of District 4. Anywhere else I've lived, and we'd be underwater. Anywho, I do really like this ^-^ It's good to actually be able to see a (in my mind) accurate representation of where all the Districts are in Panem.

I think you are wrong in one very important way. The districts aren't connected to each other. In fact the vast majority of the existing landmass is pure wilderness. Each district only occupy a small area completely surrounded on all sides by wilderness.

i actually thought that The Capitol was instead of Seattle, and District 13 in Canada

Umm ... the Sierra Nevada, the Olympics, Cascades,Β rangesΒ all under water?Β Most of the Great Basin is over 5000 to 6000 feet in elevation.Β The vast majority of the west would not be underwater.Β Even if someone tried to argue that there was some sort of tectonic force at work or whatever that much activity would essentially "end" life on the planet in order to put those areas underwater.Β Texas and Florida make senseΒ most ofΒ the west does not.Β This map is cool but it is not based on anything scientific.

this is slightly incorrect, the capital is in the rockies or partially at least, it is isn't along the coast, District 1Β where the capitol is on this map and district 2 is also in the rockies, it says so in the books...so district 2 is directly below the capitol. so switch district 1 and capitol around and put district 2 below the capitol. it says that if the capitol were in todays world...it would be in the states of Idaho, Colorado, Montana and Utah.

District 10: south- east of capitol

district 8: near district 5

district 13: north of district 12, in the mountains.

And, for the record, we don't have polar bears everywhere. In fact, right now, it's sunny out, and I don't even know how to skate! Hockey bores the sh** out of me, and I don't like pancakes. Yeah, I'm Canadian.
