Ok, this is the last part of mah tutorials, this is the part that actually uses the gradient tool.
Not much really I can say about it, if you get confused just ask or note me. I don't bite 
I have very nearly finished some proper artwork so expect that tomorrow ^_^ I am so sorry for spamming your inboxes with my tuts

Nice tutorial,
But.. I've a problem
I just use the "lasso tool" and shad a littel piece of my drawing, i've I want to shad a other part, the shadding of my first part goes intro he seconds shading part.
I use Photoshop 8.0..
What do I wrong ?

Weellll, I change styles a lot but I basically start with a thick brush with a high opacity to work out the general direction on the mane/tail and to block the colour in. Then with progressivly smaller brushes with a lower opacity I gradually work the detail in. If you follow me...

I've always been told tat gradient shading is a big no-no, but damn, you make it look awesome! It looks like a vector. I am definitely going to have to try this!

There isn't a shading mane and tail part, I don't have a specific techinque so I didn't add it on. The gradient shading part is only really for the body...

this is heavy wonderfull. i mean.. "wow". die shading i will try. but i ask myself.. how did you the hair? this is very awesome.

Thanks ^_^ I hope it helps! To do the hair I use a medium size brush to define the hair and then gradually decrese the brush size using a mix of dark and like colours. I would suggest using *Losmios tutorial in her scaps, it really helped me
