These were done over the weekend while I spent the holiday with my daddy

What's great about these guys is that, one, they are not restricted to being a part of the DE cast; in the future, if I am to make another story that calls for the use of angels or demons, these guys will definitely make an appearance. Two, they give me a legitimate excuse to draw actual "bishonens". In the Bible and in many art, angels are often depicted as rather androgynously beautiful humans, probably because angels have no actual gender, though in several versus of the Bible, there are mentions of both male and female angels (especially if Nephilim are to be produced). If there are no real genders, then it's safe to say that these angels can assume genders whenever they feel like it, thus the androgynous looks. In other words, I don't care if you say they look too girly or feminine as men. That's the point of being bishonen, isn't it?! X3 ::runs away from an angry mob of shallow rabid bishonen fanditzes:: @___@

Don't mind the generic angel robes; since they are angels, they can wear whatever the helll they want whenever they want. In my sketches, the garbs they've donned ranged from Ancient Roman gladiator armor (like how the archangel Michael was depicted) to your typical white suits and ties XD. My main focus is mainly their overall appearance. As for why robes, I'm too lazy to detail legs. So there XP.

I'm still researching angels, though the research is mainly that of various Catholic/Christian views. Otherwise, though, I think how angels ought to be is through open interpretation, so if you find anything "inaccurate", well, what are we to know how angels really are? XD But I'm open for suggestions.

Those with white wings and halos are clearly angels of God while those with black wings and lacking halos are demons/fallen angels. Also note their... lack of height XD;. I mainly referred to the what would be the estimated average height of adults during the Medieval/Renaissance times, when angelic art was popular.

Saraphiel: Though he is an archangel and a close friend to Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and other known archangels, Saraph is rather timid and prone to panic attacks, even with constant reassurance from God Himself; perhaps it's because of his lack of confidence in his work. At first, Saraphiel is mainly a guide to put miracles to work during the Old Testament times, particularly those involving animals (the dropping quail during the Hebrew's stay in the Wilderness, guiding the ravens to the hungry Elijah, closing the lions' mouths in Daniel's presence, making a donkey talk, etc). His first assignment given that didn't primarily involve beasts was that during the last few months of 1570 AD, in Manila, Philippines. where he is to guide a man known as Emilio Montenegro to fight against the demonic Diablo and his four immortalized men (Frascona, Giovanni, Guy, and Phoebus). He is given another assignment to guide a descendant of Montenegro through a similar task, though one day, Saraphiel goofed in descending down to Earth. I won't say what it was, but it involves "rooming" with a fallen-angel-now-demon, Mortiphael. Where are they rooming? I can't tell you. Not here. --5'3"

Mortiphael: He is among the angels who sided with Lucifer before his fall, and thus became one of the fallen for his choice not to follow God's commands and will. Mortiphael is not one who has taken a liking towards God's creation, and thus, out of pure enjoyment, has taken it upon himself to destroy and mangle anything and everything God created (man, earth, plants, animals, etc) he comes across, just for the sake of amusement and mischieviousness. Of course, God isn't pleased with that, so he sent several angels (including Saraphiel and Aireal) to deal with him as it would seem fit. The last time Saraphiel meets Mortiphael is December 25, 1703, where they are forced to "room" together. Again, I won't tell you what happened, nor will I say where they are rooming in. One thing for sure, though, it was an incredibly unpleasant experience for Saraphiel, especially since during their 30 year rooming, Mortiphael has been trying to convince Saraph to become one of the fallen. In terms of identifying the two angels, it's a rather frustrating for both of them because they look rather similar. Don't confuse the two, though, as they are otherwise polar opposites. --5'3"

Urameil: Formerly among the lower ranked angels before being among the fallen when Lucifer rebelled against God. One of his other reasons for falling is that he refuses to "bow before mankind" (acknowledging that man will one day rule over angels). Though he is among the least powerful of angels, he is capable of shifting into animalistic shapes, from normal, everyday ones like squirrels, sharks, and tigers, to even mythological ones like gryphons (one of Diablo's favorites), dragson, and even krakens. However, in terms of power, that's all it's limited to. He is sometimes seen as the "dumb" one of the group because he tends to be beastly in intelligence as well XD;. Among his favorite humans to torment and antagonize is Amir, mainly because of his apparant zoophobia. A partial inspiration of Ura's appearance is that of ~ThatDarnKat 's crimson-haired angel CJ (Ura's crimson haired as well). An interesting tidbit was that he used to "date" A- ::SHOT!::--5'7". Of the demons, Urameil's honestly my most favorite.

Oberion: A Grigori and among other fallen angels, Oberion is, of the three demons, the most powerful one. He first sired some Nephilim during Job's day, before the Great Flood, until he was banished "in the valleys of the Earth". During the centuries he has not shown his face, he learned some tricks in deception from Satan himself. This would become useful when it comes to achieving the Eye, as well as help giving Diablo power. During the DE timeline, Oberion sires more Nephilim as to "take their power", for he is the one who grants them life as well as power. Among the brides he has taken is Kalila, though much to his chagrin, Kalila is barren XD; Rob and I know him as an obsessive compulsive of sort XD;;. --5'6"

Aireal: A lower ranked angel who, like Urameil, has power limited to only taking the shape of that of beasts, though those beasts are often those of smaller animals like mongooses, doves, and kittens. She is among the female angels and those who are "by the book" in terms of performance, though she somehow tends to possess a schoolgirl crush towards purehearted, virtuous men (one of them is Jesus Christ XD you know how THAT went XD; ). As a character and role as an angel, her two inspirations are Central and Farrago from JACK . Though she used to date U-::SHOT!!::, she currently possesses a deep infatuation with someone else in the DE cast. Figure it out who that is on your own. --5'2"
