Description Good series.
By Holly Black. (same as the Spiderwick Chronicles, if that rings any bells)
It's only 3 graphic novels - relatively quick and quite interesting~

These are pics of some of the main characters, Rue Silver and Tam. Done with references.

The art is by Ted Naifeh, and he has a realistic-ish style that I find hard to emulate. >.o
These pics really don't do the series justice. Go and check it out, it's like modern faerie-tale with the original darkness still rather evident~ >3

AND THERE'S HARDLY ANY FANART! This needs to be remedied. D<

I had no idea you worked with Photoshop! Have you tried coloring a picture with it?

You're very welcome!

I love Photoshop~

I just have PSElements from a friend on my personal compy, but I play with it all the time at school~

I've not had the courage to try coloring a scanned photo on PS, because I can't ever seem to figure out how to transfer the image to just the lineart without tracing the whole barking thing. >.o
I figured it out once or twice, but unfortunately usually I just have time to upload and crop. )8> By the time I get around to trying it again, I've forgotten. XD'

So do I!

Oh, no, you don't have to transfer the image to just the lineart. You just color right over it! All you do to make the lines visible is color on a different layer than the scanned picture, and set your color layer to multiply. It's simpler than you would think; you should try it again sometime.
