this is awesome! the highlights and shading are really spot on! do you use a pantograph in making the lineart?

Oh wow! NICE one! I made this one too in colour. But nowhere as close to how good you've made it!!!

Usually when I look at photos, I think they're pretty darn good, and can't really get any better in terms of capturing detail.. But here, you actually IMPROVED upon the photograph. I'm astounded. Liv usually looks great anyway, but here you made her...amazing. *kuuudos!!!*

As I said on the finished piece - you really improved the portrait with your art skills, original photo doesn't have such play of lights

I've seen the puppy eye tutorial. Eyes you draw are fantastic, especially on such portraits like here. Maybe you would do the tutorial with human eyes? How to draw so realistic iris?

You are really one of my favorite artists, Linda. I aspire to draw as well as you. I want to thank you for being alive so that you can create all this and be such a huge inspiration to me.

Hi Chloe, what sweet words to say. I'm very thankful for this life of mine for so many reasons....drawing I have to say is one, it's been a part of who i am from my very first memories, I'm happy i have my art. Thank you again my friend.

this is gorgeous...the page itself looks a little off-color, though.

if you're using a photomanip program at all maybe consider changing the color mode to grayscale...sometimes little bits of color from the lighting on my pencil drawings can get in and make the page look a splotchy. changing to grayscale will fix that.

really nice work.

When I use grayscale my pencil drawings look too blue, so I adjust the "hue and saturation" in psp to look somewhat like what I see on paper. I been playing with images in Paint shop pro since 1995 and I’m still not all that happy as to how my drawings look on the puter screen ~Linda

I's great, really inspiring.
And wow you use just a few guidelines, I couldn't do it...
...well the truth is that I couldn't draw that beautiful way that's why you keep on being one of the best on DA to me.

Damn, watching so many mesmerizing works during these days is just making me wanna go back to my desk and start the new portrait but I can't...
have to wait a month...
