Description
Just to show you guys that I am capable of poking a little fun at Man of Steel, I made this. All the other memes based on this were about the invalid criticisms that I have already discussed. I felt that this was a much better argument.
In Superman's defense, Wonder Woman's movie is just as hard as an Ant-Man movie where Hank Pym doesn't live in a retirement home.
Superman owned by DC. Avengers owned by Marvel (happy 75th birthday!)

A Wonder Woman is coming out in 2017? That's a bad move for DC.

Good point. I was making a fanscript for a Fantastic 4 movie that doesn't suck, and was thinking about introducing Namor with it to set up for his own movie.
Yeah, I'm just saying it took Marvel WAY less time to make a movie about a comic that started in the late 2000s (though admittedly most of the characters in it were from as far back as the 60's) than it took for DC to make a movie about a franchise they've had since WW2

It's really meant as more of an "in your face DC"

When Warner Bros. says "It's too hard to make a Wonder Woman movie" what they REALLY mean is that they don't think they can sell piles of action figures of her because she's a woman.

And making a Wonder Woman movie isn't exactly rocket raccoon science... Baby is crafted by clayface, enters a tournament she was never supposed to be in, gets powers, decapitates Ares, becomes Wonder Woman

THAT would make an awesome movie!
The only real issue I can see which could also be a reason they're having problems is that fans could have issues no matter how she's portrayed. Focus on her warrior side and they'll complain they lost her femininity. Focus too much on her compassionate side or any of her vulnerabilities and they'll complain they softened her. Hard to find that middle ground and make everyone happy

Maybe they should make that her character arc: going from a brutal warrior to learning compassion and being more responsible as a hero

I think that could work. Although no matter what you did, I'm sure there will always be some extreme feminist claiming it's "softening her."
I also stand by my theory that Warner Bros. just doesn't want to make a Wonder Woman movie because toy companies think you can't make a pile of action figures based on a female character.

Ah, I hardly pick up comic books now. This system of constant angst, overcomplex re-writes, and storylines you need to read six comic book titles to follow just ruins the fun for me

comics? I agree. It's current system insists on a serious investment of your time and money if you want to follow anything. It alienates casual readers (like I would be) and just isn't any fun

There will always be feminist complaining about something, unfortunately.

Well, that's just because they aren't as popular. Especially after Green Lantern kinda bombed. We know the real reason is because it was simply a mediocre movie with a bad toy line but they don't see that. They just think; "Oh, superheroes that aren't Batman doesn't sell."

LOL Maybe if it knew how to pace itself. That was my main issue with it. It's terribly slow.
I hear they want to do another but Ryan Renolds won't be in it. Shame since contrary to popular belief, I honestly don't think he was the problem.

I actually think the opposite. I mean, yes he takes a while to get the ring, but then he trains for like 10 minutes on Oa, makes one public appearance, then BAM! Big final battle.
I agree. And I think that not bringing back Mark Strong for Sinestro is wasted potential.

it was rushing to show everything. Like, they wanted to show ALL the Green Lanterns in ten minutes so sell toys of them (lot of good that did) but then slowed down terribly when the actual big fight scenes started
such a waste

Indeed. I think that's why the new Batman/Superman movie will have so many cameos. So when they get to the solo movies, they won't have to completely re-introduce them to the audience.

probably. I'm pretty sure that's why they're rebooting Batman this way. So we don't need yet another origin movie
