Description This dragon was created back in 2019 and had another base further in my Base folder. I decided to give it a glow-up yesterday and here's the new improved Singerflight with brand new abilities and more!

This is a summary explaining most, if not all of what the species is about and has to offer. This base is for you to use, but please follow these rules.
  • Credit me if used.
  • You are not allowed to make Adopts out of them. As long there are no baby or egg base, I will not allow adoption.
  • Do not, and I am serious, DO NOT claim the base NOR the species as your own. This is highly disrespectful, you wouldn't like if someone stole your art, right?
  • Please remove the markings on the base (If any), these are just for example.
  • Please change the colors at least. I've seen people using previous bases of mine claiming them as their OCs, such as my Light Gripper, Shymera. I don't care if you use the same name as my OCs, just make sure they're not total rip-off of the Originals.
  • DO NOT include my characters in your OC(s) stories without my consent! If your character does not share any background story with my characters, then don't bother, it will not be classified as Canon!
  • These are MSPaint friendly, and do not have a Transparent background.

Okiedokie, that's enough explanation, here comes the species' Info!

Information
The giant parrot-like Colorful Singerflight is always a sight to behold. A beautiful delight to stare at, it's beauty catches the eyes of many upon notice, and it likes the attention! This feathered Wyvern was named this way due to the many types of colors one can get, even obtaining all colors imagineable! It also has a very beautiful voice when it sings in the skies. The Singerflight is also one of the few dragons able to communicate with almost anything, even being able to speak our language! It's fascinating how crazy abilities this thing has!
They are actually fairly common despite how few of them are seen around the world. There are old myths and legends talking about how an Owl person became a Colorful Singerflight by eating a Singerflight stone and it's feathers, although the story are fake. No such things can happen like that... right? However there is a myth that is true. If Singerflight feathers are found and used to specific medicinal recipes, it can heal various sicknesses and even being back people's lost view, voice or hearing!
The Singerflight, despite it's bright colors and habit to sing, is a silent hunter if looking for a juicy meat meal. It can camouflage it's sounds by using the tip of it's toes, and patiently wait until an animal gets attracted by it's colors, and then bites. Singerflights are not known to kill their preys rapidly, or known to hunt all that much. They prefer spending their time eating berries and other yummy fruits or veggies if it's hungry! It also cannot fly due to wing membrane missing, but it can glide for long distances without the need to rest.

Physical Appearance
Colorful Singerflights are easy to recognize with their vibrant colors and feathered head and tail. Females tend to have a very bright color palette while males tend to have a darker color palette, why? It's still a mystery even today! Singerflights have three small horns on their nose, and no horns on their head. They instead have a crown of feathers with two big and long feathers that can easily be distinguished from the others. This crown of feathers continues down the Wyvern's back, and the tail starts to fully wrap in a duvet of feathers. They may look heavy but they are actually very light and keep the Singerflight warm during colder days and nights! They also have feathers on their shoulders and chest sides. Their feather crown also puffs up or down depending on the Singerflight's mood. If the Singerflight is angry, threatening, happy, excited or breathing fire, their feather crown goes large and puffs up a lot! If a Singerflight feels sad, anxious, stressed, defeated or is injured, the feather crown will low down on their head. Otherwise a Singerflight feeling Neutral would have it's feather crown slightly puffed up.
It's wings are rather special. While they are not made for flying, they are large enough to help the Colorful Singerflight to glide around the place On the top view they have glowing spots instead of the colors from the inside wings. They have a single hook on each wings, and five "fingers", most likely feathers, attached to the wing membrane. Two legs with each four toes and claws alongside three spikes on the legs' elbows. And to finish it off they have hard-as-diamond belly plates with pastel colored crystals attached between each plates!

The male and female do not have gender differences nor color differences, so any Colorful Singerflight can be any color and shade one can imagine, even fully black! Their colors has no limit whatsoever.

Habitat
Colorful Singerflights are often founds on Paradise Island, forests and the Luciole Dreamworld. They are rather common and easy to spot due to their colors and singing habit. Mostly nesting near cliffs or inside dead trees, they lay their eggs in colorful nests made with many of their shedded feathers.

Behavior and Personality
Colorful Singerflights are generally neutral to anything. They never attack unless provoked and usually keep it calm or sing the whole day. It is preferred to not show any weapons to a Singerflights to avoid it seeing you as a threat. If you have a weapon in hand, put it away immediately, especially if there are baby Singerflights around. They get aggressive if any of their kind is attacked, and come to their aid if it's not too late. They are sociable with most creatures, and tend to be very curious when they discover new things.
Singerflights can also be a tad bit annoying, especially when one sings at night, now that, you want to yell at it to stop. If a Singerflight meets another animal or person, it has the unique ability to mimic an almost perfect replica of said voice or noise, and it immediately register it for future uses if necessary! It is also one of the few non-ancient dragon to be able to speak. A Singerflight is also not a fighter, and if there is conflict somewhere, it would prefer avoid or run away to not get into a fight or in trouble. They are also fairly sociable and enjoy company!

Abilities

  • Fire Breath: Singerflights have a unique fire breath which, while not overly strong, can burn down wood very quickly and keep warm people like animals. A Singerflight is also immune to it's own fire! The fire breath changes color depending on the eye color of said Singerflight.

  • Elemental Abilities Mimic: Singerflights can mimic other creatures' elemental abilities if they have any. So if an Earth dragon smashes the ground in half, the Singerflight would copy that ability, but only temporarily. it can also copy other fire breaths, even it's own species'! Imagine what a Singerflight could do if it could use the Lightning Surfer's destructive lightning ability... However there is a catch. The elemental ability the Singerflight gets will still remain weak due to the Singerflight's inability to properly fight.

  • Voice/Noises Mimic: As you've read before, Singerflights can indeed mimic other creatures' voices and noises, as well as environmental noises, like water flowing or leaves rustling. It's incredible to see how many voices and noises a Singerflight can learn in it's lifetime!

  • Gliding: While they can't fly, Singerflights have incredible stamina which allows them to stay airborne for a long time without the need to land. Their wings are strong enough to handle the weight of the dragon, and can even walk on mountain sides with the hooks on their wings! Some people have recorded seeing a Colorful Singerflight casually gliding past their boat with no land in sight!

  • Threaten Mechanism: The feathers on the Singerflight's head can react to the Wyvern's feelings, and puff up quite big when threatened. The Wyvern would hiss and show it's crown of feathers to intimidate its enemies and to appear bigger. The brighter the colors, the more threatening it looks!

Weaknesses

  • Inability to Fly: Due to the missing membrane on their wings, Singerflights are unable to fly and thus flee like all other flying creatures can do. So if a Singerflight is injured on one of it's wings or legs, it is likely to die to whoever hurt it.

  • Lower Fire Power: Because they are not fighters, Colorful Singerflights' firepower is highly lowered. The maximum amount of damage it can do it light up a house on fire. This is one of the main reason why these Wyverns do not engage in fighting.

Taming and Training
Anyone's first dragon can be a Singerflight. Because they are surprisingly easy to get trust from. Like babies like adult, they are the perfect first tame to get, and are easy to train. if you bring them anything shany and valuable, the Singerflight will take it as a gift from you, and keep it in it's nest. If you keep doing this everyday, the Singerflight will grow fond of you and will start to follow you anywhere you go. if you give it little treats then you have a permanent friend!
You usually do not need a saddle to ride a Singerflight, because it doesn't feel any pain if you hold the feathers on it's back. While they do not fly, they are the perfect travel mount, with a decent swimming and good stamina to handle long glides accross the Islands!

Known Individuals
Zyris: She is an old rainbow colored Singerflight (Currently seen as base) who is a veteran at traveling seas by gliding and swimming for days. While she is rarely seen, her unique roar can be recognized by anyone who ever heard her before. Some say she appears at one place, but vanishes in the blink of an eye!
