There were a couple of pictures from the war in Bosnia, that really sticked in to my head. One of them was a picture of a mercenary with a cold face.Did he fight on the side of serb, kroat or a muslim.... Does it even matter?
So i took this picture yesterday of my school friend.

one of the things that i have always makes a 'portrait' is the conveyance of character and a sense of the life being lived by the indvidual. this goes far beyond someone wearing clothes that communicate a social reference or in a location that adds to their persona. and thats just it, persona versus personality.
i am beguiled by this image. this is a true portrait. and i hope you take gret pride in your work!

i like this photo, looks really great, althrough that mercenary looks more like some usa-made model of one , than like some participant in bosnian war.
considering your question from photo's description i can tell you that, if were, there were very few real " mercenaries" in bosnian war (movie "the saviour" did not give a very true picture of the whole thing). that s true that there were some foreigners that fought for one of the sides, and maybe received some payment for it, but in general they were people who fought for religion or ethnical group, like islam fighters on the muslem side, or people who had serbian or croatian ascendents on their respective sides.
"dogs of war" i ve never seen(in few yrs).So well answer on your question would be -Yes it does matter., at least in that war.
