I mistakenly thought playing The Last of Us on the harder difficulties my first time without sonar and for the most part, no guns, stealth/melee kills only, would make for a more enjoyable and authentic survival experience. What a mistake. Most stressful game I ever played. Could only play for 30 minutes at a time before I needed a break. All those clicker deaths really strung out my nerves.
I don't regret it though! It was still a great experience. Especially when I arrived at the winter hunting scene. Just Ellie, the animals and the snow. Super calming after all that madness. I just had to paint something from it.
Leaving all that negative space scared me at first but I ended up liking this more than the other prints I did that year.
