Cellulose is well... Paper Its a plant fibre. We have another kind of filter 'paper' that is made of glass fibre, so calling it cellulose just distinguishes the two kinds.

Don't feel stupid! How would you know if you've never had to use glass filters? I should be less absorbed in my own nerdy world maybe...

nah, 'nerdy' worlds are usually a lot more fun than others i probably should have thought about it for longer before asking the question... but that's not me!

I like this. You two melded it together so nicely. Has an Elvin feel to it to me (maybe since I just watched LOR with the moon writing to enter the mines) - very organic
I was thinking from this then, has anyone done a center and given the outer most part of the circle or vice versa and had to finish off whichever inside or outside?

Thank you! ... I hope Immy won't mind me butting in here but you asked the question and the answer is yes ... although in a different format. I created a circular opening in this rectangular frame for *a-neon-devil-breath who completed the inner circle ...[link]
If you work out the maths for a 3.5cm radius, then the radius that gives half the area of the whole is around 2.5cm ... that is kind of too small for a decent drawing for all parties ... someone has to do a 1cm border and that can be quite restrictive. Hope that answers your question

Oh, that's the image I first added a comment to when I "found" your secret galleries hehe. I still like it.
I am sure Immy doesn't mind you answering, plus is was open to anyone of you to answer. You answered it just fine, I might add. It's interesting no matter what shape you make things and have the other apply their imagination to a small strip of glass. Most of the times I see these they are very organic and naturally follow the style of each artist.
However they come together I think it is fun and interesting what comes from those minds involved.
Very good then. Keep up all the good work...
