Guess what? Rarity is fighting a giant crab.I wanted to draw something vaguely epic yesterday night, so I sketched this out...
I think it turned out pretty good!

Absolutely crazy! One of the most intimidating of these crab pieces I've seen! I think Rarity came out awesome here, you did a great job with the hair and her glowing eyes. Β And is that a giant sewing needle?

Thank you for the compliments! And, yes, that's a giant needle! Last time I drew her in this situation I gave her the needle as a weapon... it sounds like a Rarity kind of choice!

Having seen the WIP, I have to repeat how much the shading adds to the drawing! My goodness, that's a difference! I almost can't believe that that was a WIP of this.
I forgot to ask this then, so I'll ask it now... What's up with the needle exactly? Is that Rarity's weapon of choice?

Eheh... yeah, there's a reason why I like to shade.
The needle comes from when I first drew RariCrab almost (ouch!) a year ago. At the time I was wondering how Rarity would actually fight a crab, staying in character. Bare hooves are not the case, she's too refined for that. Her magic isn't strong enough to fight with just that. A sword (or other weapons) just seem a bit off to me. So why not a weapon that represents Rarity's work?
