Description Artist Training Grounds day 18: " Draw a pony dreaming/Draw a pony with a plan"

I saw you trying to go deeper.
We are sorry.

I wonder how many will stick their faces to the screen trying to see how much deeper she goes.
I'll watch you try from here.

You can't possibly know without having superpowers, but the very last image I could put is different.

XD that last image looks like a colt - nice job!

Β

OnΒ a more real and down to Equestria note, beautiful job, brilliant concept. I would have wished for a similarlyΒ styled bed but that's because I'm picky XD

Β

Nice coloring, great shading/lighting and excellent work on the drawing style itself.

Β

If your drawings weren't approximately 411 time better than mine (give or take 5) I'd give you the advice of trying to keep a bit more centralized "strokes" (like under herΒ left eye is a stray stroke or two) however I'm not complaining

Β

Keep up the excellent work!

You did it! You stared in the bottom of her mind and got a glimpse of the essence of the lunaception!

Thank you very much for the feedback, don't even worry about giving advices, I'm a newbie and I'll take any suggestion! I think I know what you mean about the strokes, I'll try to calibrate better.
For the bed, that was lazyness!

My favorite line from that movie: "...BWOOORM..... BWOOORM....."

And that "dream border" looks really cool!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-02 19:22:06 +0000 UTC]

BWOOORM... I try to reproduce that sound too many times without people understanding it.
For the dream border I decided to use the color of the border of Luna's mane... seems fitting that the mane of the Princess of the Night is made in the same substance of dreams...

Cool! It worked nicely!Β

It almost looks like feathers... or fur... or something you'd find on the head of a muppet!

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-02 19:31:07 +0000 UTC]

I'd say that the head of a muppet is made of dreams too...

Well, one thing's for sure, someday they'll find it, the rainbow (dash) connection.....

Ooh! "The Rainbow Dash Connection" would make a great band name!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-02 20:39:33 +0000 UTC]

If I could play something I would use that name.

It's a pity I can't get a right sound out of a triangle.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-02 20:55:33 +0000 UTC]

I can play the electric triangle, but anything else with more than one string is beyond me.Β

I've never tried acapella, though...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-02 21:39:44 +0000 UTC]

Electric triangle... I think it needs you to wear rubber gloves.

You know, metal, electricity...

Ok, maybe I can sing. I'm doing fine with the MLP Karaoke.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-02 22:05:11 +0000 UTC]

I can imitate OTHER people singing... I was just singing "Under The Sea" in the most beautiful Jamaican voice you ever did hear! Just ask these windows! They just fall apart when I start to sing!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-02 22:14:59 +0000 UTC]

That unspoken rule that binds you to sing with a peculiar accent...

It just makes the song more true.

Like that Scottish accent while singing 500 miles.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-03 01:00:44 +0000 UTC]

Yes! There's really no other way to sing that song! I think that's the main reason I can even do a Scottish accent. Well, a terrible Scottish accent...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-03 01:18:21 +0000 UTC]

I don't think any Scottish would approve any kind of mockery from foreigners.

Just like Aussies.

But I love their accents!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-03 01:28:22 +0000 UTC]

"Another shrimp on the barbie, mate! Tie me kangaroo down, sport! Wallabies and didgeridoos!"

They always say those kinds of things, right? But I always slip into a British accent when I do Australian, then I slip into Scottish, then Irish, then eventually it's just me garbling lines from The Terminator in an Austrian accent.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-03 01:32:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I think they'd say that.

My problem is that I don't have vocabulary for regional accents.

So my totally-not-Australian accent is completely based on the word "mate" and "Aussie"

At least my British is a bit better thanks to a certain show.

For the Scottish I only know that song, a pair of ballads and The Brave.

And haggis.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-03 01:38:19 +0000 UTC]

Aye, haggis!Β

And I think David Tennant is actually Scottish! Or Gallifreyan! Or northern! I don't know... lots of planets have a north...Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-03 01:43:46 +0000 UTC]

I think that his human cover is being Scottish. But the BBC asked him to not speak with his accent in the show... only occasion to hear him "natural" was in that episode with Queen Victoria ambiented is Scotland.

Oh, of course I can fake a decent southern American accent mainly based on AJ. People are lucky that the trigger word is "ahpple" and not "sugarcube".

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-03 01:52:58 +0000 UTC]

I do a pretty descent southern accent. I mean, I should... I live in Georgia...."Y'all". "Howdy". "Fixin' to". All that good stuff... "Duck a l'orange"...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-03 08:52:13 +0000 UTC]

Ahahah I guess you do!
Still, my journey in English accents it's still at the beginning! I still have to understand how Canadian works a part that you have to put "eh" at the end of your sentences.

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-03 18:29:28 +0000 UTC]

I've spotted a few Canadian accents in MLP... Daisy the cow has one. And most of the voice actors are Canadian, too, I think...

ImpCJCaesar In reply to StandardJim [2013-09-03 18:42:47 +0000 UTC]

I think Snails has one too. I know because he says "eh" a lot.

StandardJim In reply to ImpCJCaesar [2013-09-03 18:59:05 +0000 UTC]

Oh, yeah! I actually did not make that connection... I was always so distracted by how annoying Snips' voice was...Β

Well, apparently if there's anything Canadians are good at, it's moose-hunting and voice acting!

If it ends with "cheeseburger" or "gun", it's probably American...

If it ends with "Eh", it's most definitely Canadian.
