Having drawn Rarity's mane once, and still having nightmare about it, you did good, and the green stripe looks great. I think if you didn't get the green stripe to look good, the rest of it kind of falls apart. I think you nailed it.

Green is so damn important! But I noticed that in Dash's mane every color weights. Everything feels off if you forget one!
Besides the green stripe was a very delicate moment... we all know how much Rarity loves green manes!

Ha! I forgot all about that Green Mane thing!!! The green in your picture is the top of the "swirl" on the back part of the mane, and one of the most maddening things to pull off for me, although the front part of the mane is intimidating for me to try and draw too..

It's all a matter of pacience. It took me seven tries to get just the shape, then something like an hour to colour inside and make sure the colour was uniform and in shape. Then the shading, the colour enhancing and the reflexes took me just twenty minutes... God I sound like a shampooist!
