After two more days scales had completely overcome her body and her legs were completely absorbed into her tail, Jake's (who eventually decided that Jaclyn was a now a more appropriate name) transformation finished. She was the first of her kind, though by no means the last. Before a quarantine could be established over a hundred thousand people across several states and provinces had been infected and outbreaks continued despite attempts to contain it made all the worse because 10% of those who were infected showed no more symptoms than sneezing, sweating and running a fever but were carriers. Eventually after a lot of testing and with thousands of similar snake-people (mostly snake-women) she was let out to help efforts in the quarantine zone. Having to wear a skirt was going to take some getting use to let alone slithering, as did all the vibrations in the ground. Even so bit by bit she began to rebuild her new life.
