I can't honestly say that I feel I'm achieving my artistic goals. I'm not improving as much as I'd hoped, and that's been bothering me a lot. I finally got round to making some facial studies, maybe going a bit overtime at my lunchbreaks.

This is just one of many busts I've made lately, but I developed a soft spot for this one I guess. She turned out looking pale, sweaty and sick with greasy hair. After one of my co-workers pointed out how sick she looked, I realised that she vaguely reminded me of the girl in "Syk Pike" by Christian Krohg. One of my favorite paintings, and incredibly realistic.

I don't think I've broken any barriers so far as it's nowhere near realism, but it's just a study anyway. I'll get there.
