Shaping ourselves form the inside is preferable for me, gives the outside world less power over me...

Not nessacerily in a controling way, more...making your OWN choices, as opposed to the outside world making choices for you

wht i mena is the 1st say 12 to 16 years of our lifes we take in all of whats around us friends, family tv or whatever and it shapes us into what we are but as adult we make our own choices and grow etc but or core is made from what sorunds us...tis wht i thinks anyway

right, your upbringing dose dictate some of your adult chocies parents (if there anygood) teach you the diffrence between right and wrong and there are meny factors in right and rong never mind anything els, you do make your own choices but you take into acount what is around you, sistuations change so do your "choices", a toutor of mine when i was at university told me "you are never yourself untill you are sourounded by others"...the dude has a point

Im just realizing, how all my choices have been influenced by others, like heavily...only just begining to really decide for myself.

For me, its about making your own choices, whats right for you, period...WITHOUT, being influenced, manipulated by others.
