My very first werewolf character: Polaris, originally from the Silver Shadows pack and the ~Shadows-Dread-Pack , now a freelance wolf! She seems to have a thing for shadows doesn't she? It's nice to draw her again after such a haitus, and funny to look back at how I've improved since she was last on my drawing board: [link]

Name: Polaris

D.O.B/Age: In her 30's

Personality: Suffers from bipolar disorder, which means her mood can swing rapidly and unpradictably from frighteningly confident, brash and enthusiastic, to cynical, bitter and angry. The amount of black in her fur indicates her mood - full black means she's in a towering rage and anybody who approaches will have their head bitten off... most probably literally. 50/50 split (as in the picture) means she's fairly in control, but that can shift at any given moment.
Both sides are very impulsive, doing things without thinking of the consequences, and inside she's fairly insecure. She hides this well, though.

Likes: Freedom, the wind in her wings, a good fight, heights.

Dislikes: Any form of authority or being told what to do, people mocking her in any way (especially over her Scottish accent), males.

Fears: Being constrained/ bound, both metaphorically and literally.

History: Born an Alpha's daughter to a pack of white winged werewolves to the far north, the black patches on her fur meant she was branded a freak and shunned from a very young age. Only her brother Arcturo stood up for her, but when he was given the chance of Alphaship over her head he grabbed it and abandoned her. The night before her banishment, however, she snuck into her father's inner chambers and stole the pack's greatest treasures: the Swords of Dios. She then fled south to seek her fortune. It was from this incident that her hate of males in general, and alphas in particular, stems.
Many years passed, during which she was part of many different packs - but she never managed to stay in one for long, before her unpradictable moodswings and naturally volatile nature, not the mention her inability to take orders, would get her thrown out.
Eventually, after making some friends and many enemies, she gave up on the pack life and wandered for a long time as a lone wolf. In this way she doesn't have to suffer the indignity of being told what to do - but she's also more vunerable, especially when dangers from her past come calling...

Weapons/Powers: Although she doesn't have any innate powers (other than of flight), her swords Blanco and Nocte - White and Night - can be summoned to her hand wherever she is. Blanco, white gem, emits a pure flash that can scramble your senses, making you smell what you feel, see what you hear etc... this is usually enough to send a man mad after only a few minutes of exposure. Nocte, on the other hand, gives off a black shadowy aura that wipes your senses clean - no taste, no touch, no sight, no nothing. Combining the two produces what she calls the "Twilight Effect", but not even she can tell you exactly what that entails.
