Merlin and Morgana having a face off from BBC's "Merlin". I didn't use much reference, so they may not look exactly like Colin Morgan and Katie McGrath, but meh, the point was to represent the anger of two powerful magical beings. The tension between these two in the show is awesome XD Though, Merlin's attempts to stop Morgana in the show are quite pathetic.. Except for the poisoning bit in the end of Season 2. That is my favourite scene XDI am so proud of this! I painted most of it in Open Canvas, and then added the background and all the lighting effects in Photoshop. I love PS; every time I use that program, I figure out a new technique. It's awesome. I just hate Morgana's hair.. I'm usually good at hair, but her's.. eh. It could be better.
I'm also proud of this one because hardly ever finish things I start digitally. I love this series so much that I had enough motivation to ^_^ And I think it's also a milestone for my digital painting skills

What hurts most is that Merlin was trying to help Morgana come to terms with her nascent magic before Morgause came into the picture. If things had gone differently, they might still be friends, and that "destiny and doom" bit of Kilgara's prophecy might have referred to how they would die by the other's side instead of by the other's hand.

So... I'm writing a Merlin fanfiction right now, and it occurred to me that this could potentially be a perfect cover. When I get it finished would you mind if I maybe used it, as long as I credit you?

I hate to admit it but Merlin has horrible monkey ears! Nonetheless, this picture really captures the enmity between them and shows that Merlin's not afraid of standing up to Morgana even though I hate their rivalry. I just really think that Morgana and Merlin should just *accept* that their enmity is, in reality, sexual tension. They were good friends before and attracted to each other.
They're both the last of their kind: Merlin's the last Dragon Lord and Morgana's the last Priestess of the Old Religion. They're kindred spirits and should just get shagging already. But BBC will never do that so that's what fan art is for! I realize this isn't exactly that but it still gives me hope that there can be more than a forced enmity between Merlin and Morgana. So thank you, dear artist, for this awesome picture!

Faved! Because it's awesome. You said you didn't like Morganna's hair, but I think it's pretty BAMF.
The colours in this are just great, they fit the mood so well and I love the pose. The texture of the clothes is really obvious too, which I just love. And the background? Fab. Dark and atmospheric. Love it.

Their eye-sexing in the series is pretty awesome! Morgause and Cenred's is pretty good too but not up to the same standard as Merlin/Morgana. I want Merlin and Morgana to have some epic argument that Gwaine, Arthur co are watching: magic tantrums and explosions galore! Love this, it's incredible btw!
