A first impression could be false one.
In my opinion, this is my weakest piece of my junior year. Does anyone have tips on how I can make it more engaging? Thanks!

this is beutiful, if you want to make it better, try make it more visually interesting like, add some branches, add in some dead grass and leafless bushes into the picture, add a few odd dead leaves hanging about, maybe some bunny footprints in the snow, i also feel like the forest is awfuly tight to have this one little trail, it looks to perfect, add in a stump or two and put a tree into the trail slightly to break up those straight lines ;o
