You have a guy eye and imagination for creative composites. It would be nice to see more.

Having good selection skills is essential, so that your selected elements don't have halos or fringe, and you did well with this piece. The most forgotten element in composites is shadow and light, and the most common errors are shadows and light in the wrong places. So If you have direct moonlight or sunlight, there will be two kinds of shadow, cast shadow and surface shading. The next challenge is in matching tonal values, brightness and hue so that everything blends well.

Some artists use Displacement Maps and layer masking to blend in objects. It is extra work but can add a level of realism, such as adding a waterfall into a river, but the waterfall values are way too far off to adjust a match. So you map the river to the waterfall.

Here is a tutorial I made on how to do it [link] . Its kind of cool. You could map a painting to your naked body, the possibilities are endless. lol
