Let's see, its 2001 TV series, 1981 movie (Super Galaxy), 1979 TV series, 1960's animation (movie & TV), and manga. Yes, in the 1981 movie, Joe NEVER accelerated. ONCE. D:<

I know! Especially in the manga, just some of the things Black Ghost does, its just inhuman. Which really does happen in our lives. It just adds to the powerfulness of the story, and my love for it <3

I think it's pro but they don't really go into detail about everyone's profession XD OKAY EXCEPT FOR JOE'S AND FRANCOISE'S. And I think in Monster Wars Albert is just like, a truck driver LOL. Oh, I've never heard of Eyeshield 21! What's it about?
LOL baseball just kinda matches more XD AT LEAST HE'S NOT A BULLFIGHTER LIKE IN SUPER GALAXY. Oh, really? I don't really like sports. XD; Can't play them, so I don't like them. XD; I'M ATHLETICALLY CHALLENGED
I haven't read much of the manga so I don't know what he does LOL Are they more inhuman than the things they do in the anime series? Because it was really sad what they did to Kubikoro in the 1960 series. THEY FREAKING IMPLANTED HIM WITH AN EVIL BRAIN CHIP. I agree! Cyborg 009 was like, the most powerful anime series I've ever witnessed. Even in the old series, the epic powerfulness doesn't dwindle. Especially in the 1960 Kubikoro episode. LOL I'M SORRY I KEEP SPAZZING OVER THAT EPISODE BUT IT WAS JUST SO HEARTRENDING
Like at the very end after Joe shoots Kubikoro, he was like, "God, why do you let such horrible things happen?" Then he carries Kubikoro to a church and wishes him peace in death. That was like my favorite part. IT TOTALLY MADE ME CRY

Yeah, it's funny how Al is still just a truck driver, but it makes sense.
Eyeshield 21 is a manga about this high-school freshman, Sena Kobyakawa, has been bullied all his life. So be became very good at running away from bullies. The captain of the football club sees him running, and decides he'll make the perfect running back, with the Sena's super speed and awesome footwork. I love the art, and the story is fun. No crazy plots about the world ending or massive explosions random energy, just fun xD I read it over at onemanga.com --> [link] now I am buying the series
OMG bullfighter Jet cracks me up!!! He seems the adventurer type, I mean he does race cars with Joe xD Yeah, I like sports, played basketball and volleyball, but I was terrible at baseball, but that's my favorite sport to watch ^^
In the manga, Black Ghost isn't involved with Kubikoro at all. It's more like the 2001 series. When I'm done scanning the artbook, I'll scan snippets of the manga, including this chapter :3

Oh, that sounds cool! I feel like I've seen it somewhere before, but I think I might be thinking about that one anime about baseball. And awww, I feel bad for Sena. D: And yeah, I think the art is pretty cool XD So it's kinda like a more realistic series? Manga like that are usually funny, I like those kinds of manga, next to all the fantasy ones I usually read. XD (I haven't been reading much manga for the past year or so though since I kinda ran out of ones to read LOL.)
OMG ME TOO. I remember watching it and seeing Jet as a bullfighter, it freaking cracked me up. Oh yeah, I saw him race with Joe on the first episode of the 1979 anime XD Or...something like that lol. I'm terrible at sports, but I guess I'm okay at shooting hoops. That's probably like the only thing I can do LOL.
LOL oh, he isn't? I read the chapter on 009ing.com; for some reason they had that chapter on there. It was in Japanese though, so I didn't really know what was happening LOL. Oh, really? That'll be awesome :3

Yeah, its a realistic series, several of the moves are actual football moves that the make look really cool. Yeah, I enjoy a lot of more fantasy/comedy series and this is a fun compliment to it.
I'll try to get the Kubikoro chapter scanned soon. ^^
Oh gosh, it's been a while since I've seen episodes after 19. Needs to go back and watch them. I remember that ep, it was so strange, I wonder why they chose that plot over other ones. 15 makes me sad too, 30 doesn't bother me, but I know that is a powerful episode too. Ep 7 and 8 are very sad for me too. Poor 0013!
OH GOSH, I CAN'T WATCH 48 WITHOUT GETTING UPSET!!! I remember when I saw it for the first time, I couldn't sleep that night and seriously depressed for 3 days. I couldn't believe I let a series effect me like that, but it did. I have a tribute illustration I want to do for the end of 48, there is so much I can talk about that.

I wish I knew how to read Japanese so I know what that little girl wrote on her little...paper...thing. I think I remember it saying something about wanting to see her mother again. But I dunno lol 15 is so sad! Poor Pyunma. And I thought 30 was sad because of Carl. Oh yeah, 0013! I don't really watch those episodes as much, but they're sad as well! I like the 1979 version of the arc better than the 2001 one, but the 2001 arc is more canon to the manga I think.
EPISODE 48 MAKES ME SO DEPRESSED. Oh, wow, really? I love episode 48, but it always makes me sad. I love it so much, I've seen it like more than ten times I assume. XD;

37 MAKES ME SAD. I'm trying to figure out what the "promise" Joe made is. 'Cause like I dun understand it at all. D: I love 14 and 15! And like doesn't Jet's kneecap get blown out or something? D: Yeah, there was a 0013 arc in the 1979 series. It's episode 33. IT'S SO SAD, DUDE. But the thing is, I don't think there's a Kubikoro episode in the 1979 series. Either there is or I didn't look hard enough, but I don't think there is one in existence. D:
I love 48 too! I almost watched it while I was painting today, but I didn't wanna get all depressed LOL. I KNOW RIGHT, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO HAPPEN TO THEM OF ALL PEOPLE. D: But yes, I agree, that's what makes it so powerful. So...does that mean that the Conclusion God's War isn't canon to whatever happened? And it's good stuff indeed. XD

Okay, here's what I understand about God's War. 48 was supposed to be the original end of the manga. The fans went on a letter writing campaigin and Ishinomori continued it on. He'd write and make comics on and off through the 70's and 80's. There was going to be a final chapter in the manga, published in 2000, he had already named it Conclusions God's War. Ishinomori passed away in like 1998? They took his story notes and sketches and made those 3 episodes. I've seen other places this was not supposed to be a direct continuation of the 2001 TV, but it's hard not to think that XD

Well Ishinomori saved Jet and Joe at the beginning of Volume 11 of the manga (001 does it somehow) and he writes more 009 manga for many years, I think wiki says it ends at like volume 30 or something??? So after all these additional manga adventures, Conclusions Monster's War was the end it for good.
YES, I LOVE THE ORIGINAL ENDING TOO!! Even though it makes me cry!!! Though I am also glad it is canon that Jet and Joe were saved. ^/////////^

The manga is sadly out of print for a while and you can only get it 2nd hand in English D: Though, they are publishing new in Japanese and they are starting it in Italy in Italian so that's good for world exposure, but not us English speakers
Oh man! I haven't made it to the end of the 60s one!!! Sounds exciting, I'll try to make an effort to get through that one this week XD When I watch stuff raw, the animation keeps me interested, unfortunately not as much animation going on in the 60s D:

OMG WATCHED 26!!!! I was doing other things until nuclear bombs started going off! I was like, WOAH! Very intense like you said, I wonder what was up with that doll!! I was getting very scared towards the end, but apparently reentry is not as bad in 60s cartoons. XD The scene in the water with Joe acting silly made me laugh.

Yeah, I was talking about the fall dialogue. You are probably right with the 'dont give up' 'dont die', for the typical tense moment dialogue. I'll have to try, my issue is I want it to be fun, but I fear it'll get shonen-ai a little too fast! (not that I condemn that, but want this piece to be a bit more innocent X3 )

Oh, yeah. Okay, after Joe says goodbye to everyone, Jet tells him to pull himself together/if he's okay, then I think Jet is talking about trying his best to save Joe or something. Then I have no idea what he says after that. Then when Joe talks, he thanks Jet for trying to save him but I think he says it's useless or something. Jet then says something I don't know. Then Joe says something along the lines of "Jet, don't do it" I think. Then they say stuff I don't know, then Joe says goodbye to Jet. Then Jet asks God for the strength to save his friend, like in the 2001 series. And when Jet catches him, I really don't know. I just like thinking it's Jet telling Joe to hold out his hand or whatever. OH WELL, I'M PROBABLY NOT EVEN RIGHT WITH MY TRANSLATION LOL

Wow, that is cool (and feels odd) that Jet is asking for God's help. I thought in the 2001 series that was a brilliant addition with his lines talking about God. Though it always made me a little sad that Jet did not trust in Him. Understandable for the character, but still.
In the manga, Jet only hopes that luck is on his side. Luck didn't do much better there either. (at least until Volume 11! XD )
