Hi there!Yet another "against-the-light" matte painting.
I want to show off a post apocalyptic destroyed cityscape, maybe after a war.
It's done with Photoshop CS and After Effects.
I kept the buildings in several layers and added fog in between.
Finally I rendered a camera pullback in After Effects with a previous version of the matte.
Please use "save target as ...", since I haven't optimised the clips for streaming:

I saw this on the cover of "Wastelands" I cant tell you how long I spent looking at the cover for all the little details that was put in.
Now I find the creator of it. It looks awesome, and the picture goes real well with the book. You did a great job.

Very high level of detail, you can see some survivors lights in the windows.
Natural atmosphere colors completes the image mood.

EXcellent art. First class. The content is sombre and the dark tones grays are dominant. Yet the little light here and there possibly from candles or fires set in an apartment here and there - offer a glimmer of hope - without which the work would be just another prognostication. Form and function are hand and glove here.
Technique appears consummate.
