Description
Hi there!Haven't had much time for personal stuff lately.
Since I had to paint a lot at work, I often didn't felt like painting stuff at home. Maybe I'm just a bit demotivated lately
Anyhow I painted something very quick this evening, since I was kinda locked at home. ... friggin snowstorm in montreal.
I don't even know how much snow fell today. Maybe something like 60 centimeters within 12 hours?
I got somehow inspired by this white stuff and had to do something out of it ..
Watching my janitor carving labyrinthic ways thru the snow with a "souffleuse" and knowing I'll be back in Austria for skiing. I thought I might combine those two ideas to a conceptart
Some facts about it:
Software: Photoshop CS2
Hardware: Wacom Intuos 2 A4
Snow: 60 centimeter
Temperature: -20 (a.k.a. minus fu$%)
Time: 57 minutes, with saving and exporting exactly 1 hour.
Tutorial: will follow, since I recorded my self for educational purposes
Fun: Yes!

Nice work!
For some reason it reminded me of ice mazes in Minecraft, I recall that being a thing

I'm surprised nobody has ever thought of a labyrinth in ice before. I'm surprised even I never thought of it, because I love ice in the fictional universe! XD Great joB!

Brrr... this is a genuinely cold image - it's giving me the chills. (Either that, or I need to turn the heater on, hehe.) Fantastic job, the labyrinth would be fun to explore!

very nice! I like that you paint just a few lines and colors, but very correctly, so if I look at it from a bit further, really makes me feel that I'm looking at a real photo! skilled

Woah. o.o So huge and icy and... uh.. one totally feels the scene. Man, I was freezing already - you made it worse. T^T (But then again, looking at this is worth freezing. )

Man... Awesome! Even though you say it was quick, it looks very well done. It looks like it was done really quickly, but it looks really nice!
But that would really suck if you got trapped in there

For a one hour piece, I'd say it's really awesome. I love how the larger brush sizes kind make it... featureless, yet give it a very wintery flavour all on it's own. Mind you the maze it's self is a feature, it's just the lack of your usuall excruciating level of detail just seems to fit nicely with this image.

The mountains alone would be worth a fav, looks too good. But the labyrinth is ace.

Great job you did. I could NEVER do this as a simple 'speedpaint'. Would take me ages.

Too bad I can't stick you IN that labyrinthe so you can never paint something so awesome again.
Don't do it again Dan...this is your final warning!...
