“Reina please, bundle up a little more or you’ll catch a cold.” Miss Erica yanked Reina’s riding vest from her hands and replaced it with a thick knit sweater.
“Abuelita I’m fiiiine. I’ve got my thermals on and my turtleneck is warm enough.” Reina tugged on her gloves and gestured to herself. “It’s not even that cold.”
“Reina, it’s snowing. And your nose has been dripping all day. Put on the damn sweater.” Eri stood beside her grandmother, arms crossed and bundled in a thick wool coat. In the Leon family, you have to be dying to get out of barn chores, so working through a bad cold was commonplace. But Reina always managed to make everyone around her suffer when she’d get sick with her constant sniffling and complaining about said bad cold. And those that lived with her suffered the most. Eri was not about to put up with it for another season.
    “You’re not getting your vest back if you don’t put it on.” Miss Erica scowled. The Leon family was not above threatening each other to get their way.
    Reina felt 100% attacked having her own flesh and blood gang up on her, but she quickly relented, taking the sweater and slipping it over her head. It was a little baggy, but still did its job of cutting out the cold.
    “Better?” Reina sighed as her grandmother handed over her vest.
    “Much better.” Miss Erica smiled.

Hhhhhhhhhhh Frantically posting this in the middle of con crunching for Seishuncon. I'm a sucker for those winter shows since BRS doesn't really get too much snow. And Atari needs to get ahead of Zee in the rank race c:
