Description Stories have been passed down over the years of the dreaded Lipomancer and his rule over the southwestern reaches of Bitemarsh.

There were even accounts of entire villages that came under his thrall, paying fealty to their new overlord. Many of these communities were desperate and hit hard by famine and plague. They sought to please the powerful sorcerer that had appeared in their midst, hoping that in return for a sacrifice he would use his magics to enchant their planted crops so that they might grow more and more plentiful year after year.

To this end, these towns would prepare a sacrifice, taking either volunteers or capturing those who opposed the Lipomancer's rule. Either way, the chosen offering would find themselves gorging day after day upon massive and unending feasts until they were representative of the abundance the villagers so craved. By the harvest festival's end, their bloated and corpulent bodies wluld be a living symbol of prosperity and plenty... whether they themselves desired it or not.

Thankfully such traditions remain buried in the past, nothing but a memory like the Lipomancer himself, though as with the sorcerer some whisper about their return as well...

Day Two's drawing prompt was "Harvest", and for some reason my mind went right to a harvest festival sort of scene.

Then it went and connected that to a rather excellent series of chapters that Nack Vixen wrote for my Writing.com interactive, The Curse of the Lipomancer. If you want to check out that storyline for yourself, here's the link:
