Ryuusei is the grandson of a shrine keeper, and has inherited the mindset of 'patience is perseverance' from his grandparents. His life has been a little on the lonely side ever since his grandfather died, leaving him to live with his somewhat ill grandmother. Because of the sickly state his grandmother is in, Ryuusei is practically the sole keeper of their shrine and spends much of his time around the grounds cleaning and keeping the duties his grandfather kept. This made it so Ryuusei was unable to attend school regularly and had to study by himself.
Recently, Ryuusei's father sent him a letter with some money in it to send him to school at the Velvet Acadamy. The message within that letter was enough for Ryuusei to return to school following a few months of better health for his grandmother. Being a gentle, somewhat complacent boy, Ryuusei still holds heroic intentions of helping his grandmother recover fully.

Crystal doesn't say anything, why do you think my job is so hard. Have you read the must read cap list of all the characters. Yeah. There is around two other people who maxed over the capps. And Justice Arcana is waaaay over the cap of three people. So yeah, it's either you wait, or you change Arcana, or you get more peopel to join the other ones so I can raise the capp numbers.

Ryuusei walks up to the tall high school building, blinking up at the long rows of windows. He adjusts his newly bought uniform, smiling as he hefts his school bag over his shoulder. He spots a girl over near the gate and nods his head in greetings. "Oh... Hi." he says to her, offering a kind smile. He looks back to the building before glancing at his watch, sighing. He was early again.

Ryuusei's Saturday was peaceful so far, or at least peaceful enough. He walked among the grounds in the shrine, wearing his Shinto robes with a broom in hand. He swept the grounds carefully, smiling down at the little clouds of dust flying up from the broom. He paused as he heard a small noise from the front of the shrine, looking towards the donation box curiously.

Standing their was a tall teen wearing a school uniform, standing with his hands pressed together and his head lowered and bowed slightly. He was praying. His brows were furrowed slightly as if having a difficult thought.
After a moment, he drops his hands slowly , putting them in his pockets, and opening his eyes slightly and staring down at the box.

"Oh, welcome.." Ryuusei says with a small smile, silently hoping whatever prayers the boy had would be answered. "That uniform..." he starts slowly, "You're in the academy too?" he asks, looking a little curious. He only just transferred to there himself, though he had been there recently - he wasn't sure if he had seen him before.
"It's nice to meet another student from there." Ryuusei says after a long pause. "I haven't met too many people yet, since I'm new."

Ton raises his head a bit more, turning it to look over at Ryuusei. His eyes scan the clothing for a moment before taking a few steps away from the box so others could get near it. He chuckles a bit at being welcomed at the shrine, but stops so he isn't in the way of his sweeping the floor.
" Is it? " Ton says with a slight stretching of his neck. " What year are ya?"

"Second year..." Ryuusei responds, still smiling. "I haven't been to an actual school in a while... so it's different. What year are you?" he asks, watching Ton passively. He brushes near him, sweeping the very front of the shrine clear of leaves, smiling peacefully.

" Second year for me too. " Ton says, looking down at the leaves being swept away. " Haven't been in school? So, what, you've been home schooled or somethin'?"

"Mostly." Ryuusei says, looking back towards Ton. "I had to study by myself - Luckily, I can start to attend again now." he says with a smaller smile than before. He looks Ton up and down for a moment, as if memorizing his face. "My name's Ryuusei... what's yours?"

" Ton." Was the male's simple response for a name. His eyes look up at the flowering trees for a moment. " I myself was held back a year. " He shrugs a bit, not really caring for a moment, before looking back at Ryuusei." So , this a part time job or somethin'? Seems borin'."

"Oh, no... It's not really a job. My grandparents keep the shrine here. I live with them - its only natural that I help them out." Ryuusei says, following Ton's gaze. "It's really peaceful, I think." He moves and places the broom off to the side of the shrine, looking in towards his house behind the shrine. "Would you like some tea? I think the pot I started is done now."

Ton nods in understanding. He knew about family and respect in the family. His own family was a big one. With the peaceful comment, Ton's eyes looking up at the beautiful trees. He shrugs a bit at the offer of tea before actually really listening and looking down at him. " Sure, free drink sounds good ta me." He grins a bit.

Ryuusei just nods at Ton, smiling a little more. He didn't get to talk to many people before he returned to school - this was really the first chance he had. "Alright." he says, walking back towards his house. "I hope you like green tea... I can make something else if you aren't fond of it though." he notes, walking behind the shrine and onto a small stone pathway leading to the deck of the house. There sat on a small table top burner on a low table a steaming pot of fresh green tea, a pair of cups next to it with little coasters sitting beneath them. Ryuusei carefully removed his shoes and went onto the little deck beside the open room, seating himself on one side of the table after grabbing a third cup. He filled the three cups and waited for Ton to seat himself inside.

Ton grins a bit at the mention of green tea. It was one of the things in this country that he actually like a lot...besides that other thing. Yummy. He doesn't say much as he walks after Ryuusei, just looking around in the surroundings. He really did like the calming presence of the shrine. He just like quietness all around. As they reach the building he also takes off his shoes, then moving to sit off by the deck so he could stare outside, one elbow resting on his raised knee and his other hand resting on the floor beside him.
" It's quiet here. When ya get ta school their's a bunch of annoyin' people who think they can do what they want."

Ryuusei looks out towards Ton as he sits down and smiles, pouring their tea carefully. He adjusted his Haiori pants carefully, sitting up on his knees to lean over the table and pour. He gripped the kettle carefully, making sure the spout was tipped just enough to let the tea fall in a continuous green stream into the rough ceramic cups. He leaned back down and placed the kettle onto the table top burner and rose to his feet, bringing a cup to Ton. "I'll be back in a moment..." he said, offering him the cup and returning to the table to pick up the third cup and disappear inside the house for a moment.
He returned a few moments later and sat on his knees carefully, near to Ton but not right next to him. "I enjoy the quiet myself... sometimes its a little too quiet though." Ryuusei says to Ton, watching the trees. "I really don't find people to be too annoying anymore... even if they do some foolish things."

Ton only nods a bit when he hears Ryuusei say he leaves for a moment, than glances over at the up to his face when he sits next to him. He then looks back to the trees with a slight shrug.
" Too quiet? Huh. Never had it too quiet before. Seems almost impossible to me." He chuckles a bit before looking over to Ryuusei, raising an eyebrow. " what? A nancy boy like you findin' people annoyin'? I can't believe it." He says sarcastically a bit.

Ryuusei looks over at Ton, quirking a brow. "I used to... when I was little." he says, looking at the trees, then back to Ton. "My grandparents have taken care of me for a long time... Though my grandfather died a few years ago. I've had to learn a lot of patience because my grandmother is usually ill and can't do a lot. I don't really get annoyed anymore because it just doesn't help... at least for me." he says, smiling a little.

Ton's eyebrow raises a bit, in surprise as Ryuusei tells about his family. He presses his lips together tightly before looking back at the trees again. He doesn't say anything right away, letting a wind pass through them. He takes a few deep breaths and looks down at the light clinking of his necklace against the buttons of his uniform.
"You seem stronger than ya let on kid." Ton says with a small grin at him.

"Huh?" Ryuusei asks, looking at Ton and smiling a little, his eyebrows drawing upward. "T-thanks..." he looks down at his tea and takes a sip, smiling a little more. "I'm just doing what I need to, you know. My grandma is all I have left... and I want her to be healthy." He glances over at Ton's necklace and tilts his head, his eyes caught on the small shell. "That's a neat necklace.." he says, looking up to Ton's face. "Have you been to the ocean?"

Ton nods a bit taking the tea cup and taking a few big gulps from it, the American way. He doesn't look down at the necklace when it's mentioned. Instead he just stares up more into the trees and nods a bit.
" Yea." Is his simple answer.

"I think the ocean is really nice." Ryuusei says, smiling a little and taking another sip of tea. "I've only been there once, when I was smaller. I'd like to go back some day." He looks back at Ton for a moment and looks back into the house, distracted by a noise. He observes for a moment before looking back to Ton, his smile having remained. "I'm glad I got to meet you, Ton. We don't get many visitors who stop to actually talk."

A very small frown appears on Ton's lips as Ryuusei talks about the ocean, staring up at the trees. " Well, there is the docks ya can just go to and see it." He says with a slight shrug. " Maybe if ya didn't stay too stuck here, that is." With Ryuusei's next words, his eyebrows raise a bit confused.
" Eh? I just wanted free tea." He says before picking up the cup and drinking it.

"Ah." Ryuusei replies, smiling a little less. "I know, I just didn't really get a chance to. I'm not really stuck if I'm helping my grandma." He looks at the ground and sighs, nodding. "I'm glad you enjoy the tea." he comments lowly, sipping his own tea.

Ton glances over to Ryuusei as he puts his empty cup down. " well, it's family, what can ya do."He shrugs and sighs a bit. He shrugs a bit about the tea. " It's pretty good."

Ryuusei looks back out over the temple grounds, wondering what was on Ton's mind for a moment before smiling. He sets his cup to the side after a moment and lays back on the deck, letting his stocking feet dangle towards the ground. "I can do what I've always done... hope for the best." he replies, smiling up at the ceiling. "So far its gotten my grandmother health and me back into school..." He didn't want to say a new friend just yet... He and Ton had only just met each other... but, maybe, maybe they might become friends; Ryuusei could only hope for the best.

" Hope, huh?" Ton's ocean blue eyes settle on Ryuusei with an amused smirk. " You're such a fuckin' optimist. " He chuckles a bit. Despite the harsh word woven within his sentence, it seemed to be in good nature...maybe.
" Well, the school has a bunch of crazies in it that you'll probably get 'long with. They're all butterflies maskin' dead leaves."

Ryuusei just smiled up at Ton. "I guess optimism is my strong suit." he comments, chuckling. "Even if they are crazies, as you say, I bet most of them have the same kind of want... they probably all want friends." he says, sitting up. "Here.. let me take care of your cup if you're done." Getting up slowly, he leans down and takes up their cups, smiling. "If you ever want another cup of tea, you can come by any time, Ton. I usually have plenty of quiet to share in this shrine."

Ton just stares at Ryuusei as he continues to talk, raising an eyebrow. Maybe this kid hasn't really been with other people having been so busy with his grandmother and such. He lets him take the cup and moves to put his shoes on. With Ryuusei's next words he just chuckles a bit. "I'll only be here for the free tea. Next time, have snacks too." He says standing upright and grinning at the smaller male.

"Ah." Ryuusei says, chuckling a little. "I'll be sure to have snacks then... what sort do you like?" he asks, looking at Ton curiously. He knew it was getting late, but he wanted to know before Ton left what to get at the store.

" Food. " Ton says, putting his hands in his pocket. " I'm not picky." He grins a bit before turning around and heading out of the home. This kid wasn't as annoying as other people..for now. Who knows.
