great tutorial, but i'm stuck on the extruding part.. at one moment i was able to extrude the little spheres but for some reason noting else would extrude for me :S

yeah i'm also having a problem with the extrude part when i press delete it just clears the whole lot, not sure what i'm doing wrong? I'm using version 11 of c4d if that makes any difference, i feel like sucha noob! help!

No worries, been having a lot of fun in c4d recently. Thanks a lot for the tutorial, it really helped me get to grips with the basics.

Thanks for this, I recently started cinema4d again after a break of ~2 years.
I don't want to get back into the noob lvl I used to be and this tutorial helped me gain more knowledge
My result wasn't really unique since i followed your tutorial step by step but if i make something new, more unique I'll probably show it to you

Its just difficult because i do it so naturally, you know?

Your extrude instructions were not very clear, especially since I was using a newer version of C4D, and in the end I had to skip that step because I couldn't get the appropriate menu to appear. Otherwise, it was good.

just experiment, you will learn in time how far to drag the mouse out ect.

Im trying it right now but I cant seem to get the same effect you have with the extrude-delete method to get those bands around the object.
