Description
A flag design for Canterlot.The Portcullis/Gate is based on the horseshoe shaped gates often seen in Canterlot, and the House of Commons' Logo.
I think the portcullis being open indicates a welcoming attitude, but implies they are still always vigilant.
The Blue Stars are those of the Royal Guard.
The Left Crown is based on the one Celestia wore during Twilight's Coronation.
The Right Crown is my own design for Luna (her little tiara does not lend itself well to design, and just generally looks dumb IMO)
Whilst I'm definitely not completely satisfied with this design, I'm going to leave it for the moment and move onto ponyville's flag. I'll come back to this and improve it at some point.
