The longest time I've spent on an art piece for several years , must have around 15 hours or so I think.I've pretty much got a technique to move away from lines though, and on the long path to hopefully one day making photorealistic pony stuff.
I don't currently have the skill to do proper fur on the ermine and the ponies, but I'm proud of how the hair turned out so maybe next time I'll be able to.
I did spend a (very) long time try to add background but it wasn't working too well and the main focus is the outfit, so I think it just looks better like this

Just to give you a heads up this is only maybe a 7 out of 10 in terms of how fancy the outfit is, The length of her robe is very modest in comparison to reality: www.npg.org.uk/collections/sea… ; now I'm more confident with my technique, just wait till you see what I have planned for a picture with Luna XD.
