It turned out that the easiest part on joining the archery class at the MFS OPen Weekend was teaching Hattie to canter down a straight line without any reigns being in use. The clever mare having no problem to understand that part, as well as she wasn't at all bothered by the whole thing of shooting an arrow with a bow right from her back. Well, as far as we know she already was around when shooting arrows from horseback was still a common huntin method, so, this probably wasn't at all new to her.What was new and far harder though, was to teach Jack to actually shoot an arrow with the help of a bow. And preferably for further than half a meter and straight into the ground.
Despite his so-called native american roots, Jack proved himself to be of, well, mildly big talent when it came to archery. Yet, he practiced and practiced. Even not on horseback. And especially once having heard that Miss T. would be there, too.
Which finally ended in success. Well, at least enough success to safely say Jack was able to actually shoot an arrow and not just make it fall to the ground. Hattie's sides sure were thankful, for they certainly must have been pretty sore from all the laughing during training. Well, everyone involved definitely had quite their time.

Lol, yeah, I also know a couple who wouldn't even twitch an ear, but those most likely also wouldn't exactly keep the galopp. XD
It's kinda a dilemma, those horses who'd do great with the galopp'd most likely not appreciate the shooting and those who wouldn't care for the shooting also wouldn't care for the galopp.
Probably not that easy finding a real good horse for that kinda sport, even though it's awesome.

I like the way he is concentrating hard, he has his tongue out! I'm a teacher and I notice that small children do that a lot when they are doing something difficult.(Lots of adults do it too without realising it!)

Lol, yeah, he's fully concentrated, so the arrow actually goes somewhere and won't just drop to the ground.

Well, I do it myself too, the children in my class laugh at me when I do it. Also I like looking for little details and hidden jokes in pictures.

If I was you, I would be counting Hatties #HA-DBA points again. She might have the star status! she'd be the second horse to get star status! (my Ruby was the first)
