Description
11 photos stitched to form this bombastic and ethereal infrared panorama ...WOW, that is fantastic, I got a DD for this work! I am so happy that it is so well received, it truly is a beautiful place and it left a wonderful memory of peace and ease in my heart.
Thanks to for suggesting it and to for featuring it, much appreciated! Also thanks to the nice folks that talked me out of my rather not-so-pretty original frame idea!

Thanks for looking, your comments are welcome (and desired),

Hey everyone:
TECHNIQUE should have been 5 stars..................made a BIG mistake.
Trying to work too quickly!

Sorry.

I can't change the star rating, but knowing you didn't mean it is enough for me,

Well, if critiques should not need to be long then neither do replies!
Thanks a lot for the overall nice critique, very much appreciated. I am courious though why you assume an average (2.5 stars) technique. What makes it average?
Thanks,
Ingo

This is a very amazing piece that really shows a lot of peace and stillness. It's a bit dark however I think that adds to the scene giving it a more realistic view as nothing is always bright anyway.
The way that the sun's rays shine out not too bright but a nice balance to the darker clouds in the picture. The rays also seem to glide out across the water which also helps balance the darkness.
Overall it makes me almost feel the sense that if I was there I could imagine seeing it and feeling amazed at everything in it. So good job! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

"... if I was there I could imagine seeing it and feeling amazed at everything in it ..."
That is a very nice compliment, seems like I achieved my goal, to have the image speak to its viewers.
Thank you so much for the nice critique,
Ingo

I was just about to comment the ever so thick black edge, but I see you updated with that taken care of e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Other than that I have no complaints.
I don't know where you took this photo, but considering the title, I will say it has a really fine view like the lake Silvaplana where Nietzsche got his idea about the eternal recurrence e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
" title="
(Big Grin)"/>
THe depth of this photo really reminds me of his "6000 feet beyond man and time" . even gives me thoughts about it, so I might even take the book to read it again.
The colours are so vibrant and crystal that I want to touch it to see if they are real. and it ain't real, it's even infrared! so, my compliments on the impact you created and shared with us. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Thank you so much for this very nice critique, much appreciated! I am glad I listened to the advice I received with regards to changing the frame, this way you can't pick on it, haha
The 11 shots were taken at Lake Minnewaska in New York State, a real lake with unreal loveliness to it!
Thanks again,
Ingo
PS: The original image size is over 9000px wide, because of the 11 shots that were stitched into this pano

The infrared effect can be simulated on photos using software. Photoshop and Corel Paint Shop Pro, are two, but there are scads more-all with tutorials on the internet to help you along. . . but first, You must choose! That is the hard part, LOL

Also sag mir, was denkst du an wen oder was ich da wohl dachte?
