some ideas I had of putting fantasy concepts within a trench punk setting,
having Dwarves as Sappers, doing engineering works on the frontline makes good sense given they are classically very industrious and practical, as well as that they would be formidable warriors with shovels which would be a good trench war equivalent for an axe.
also there were soldiers in the British army
known as bantams who were soldiers below the minimum height requirements for recruitment, yet they proved themselves during the great war and earned a formidable reputation, so some real world inspiration there.
just giving my takes on what fantasy races would look like in a trench punk setting, it's pretty fun!
