Description
Beast finally has colors! Some info on her species:
They come in a variety of colors and designs but are mostly earth toned. Their names come from the freakish and macabre and they take pride in their soft fur. A tall ridge of fur goes from the back of their heads to the base of the neck and will fluff up, depending on the emotion. They tend to hunt in wide, open fields or grasslands, but also prefer to nest in clumps of tall grass or even trees. Their razor sharp teeth and claws are made for slashing and pulling, making them very efficient hunters.
That's it for now.
And I've decided to call her and her species Hyapins.

do you have some adoptables for hyapins yet? I would love to own one!

I actually have 3 domesticated ones left from a long time ago, if you're interested. crazycrocuta.deviantart.com/ar⦠As far as adoptables go recently, I've been thinking of letting people create their own, AS LONG as they credit me for the species and whatnot.

Oh that's great, I also noticed this guy, crazycrocuta.deviantart.com#/aβ¦
#4 the green one. Is he still open or has he been taken already? Though I have a feeling you would like more points for these lovely creatures, and I only have 5 points (I just now started figureing all this point stuff out last week, and I've been on for a little over 4 years now.). If you do make it to where people can make their own, I would be just as interested in that as well.

The green fella is still open, but those ones are draw-to-adopt, not point adoptables. I'm honestly still new to the whole point thing and I've been here almost 10 years, haha. I don't use them much other than point commissions with other people. Once I get back into drawing, I need to revamp my species (their bio is mostly correct, but they've come a long way).

Oh? the green guy is a draw-to-adopt? Oh gosh, then would you mind too much if I took a crack at drawing that pretty boy to take him home with me?
and oh wow, points are a hard thing for me to get. I've been thinking about doing some adoptable, mainly simple things, like Pokemon, since they seem to go a lot. Though I have a species of my own I may think about adopting I need to draw them a little more and get accustom to drawing them again. heee. I think your little(big) creatures are a great idea, and I love the idea of them.

Sure thing! My adopts have been just kinda sitting around lately. I really need to revamp my hyapins so they're actually correct now.
Oh, I know what you mean. My domesticated hyapins were actually my first point adopts and it seemed to go pretty good. Seems as long as you have a cool/cute design, people like.

I just finished drawing him I plan on naming him Brad or Bradly but I think I'll give him a more wild name later down the road that starts with B. Do you want me to color him as well I read that down below in your rules.
And when ever you revamp them I can't wait to see them! Hope you don't mind me adding you to a watch on here.

I'd prefer him to be colored, since the markings are part of the adopts. And no, I certainly don't mind!

Alright I'll color him, I'm not so great at computer painting yet so I'm going to color him with colored pencils.

"...and they take pride in their soft fur." - that made me giggle, it's delightful!
Great design though! Looks like Beast and Copper (subject of my art) were seperated at birth!
The fur crest is an awesome idea by the way

Reminds me of a mutant hyena, or something like that (or a more AWESOME looking hyena).
I admire your talent with creature anatomy, and I wish I could be just as good as you.
I love the designs and colors on this one, and if this Hyapin species are mainly earthed colored...just what do the "no-so-nomral" colored ones look like?
A very creative species you made up here, and I can't wait to see more of them.

That's actually where I got the idea. I noticed my old Cerberus design had a somewhat mutated hyena look and I went from there.
Thanks very much. Well, practice makes perfect. I've been drawing creatures since I was little.
The non-normal ones can be quite flashy, depending on where they are.
Thanks much. You'll definitely be seeing more of them.

The anatomy is quite good for something completely imaginary! I really admire your creativity! It seems like a very plausible creature the way you described it but oh MAN...that would be scary to meet one of those!
Great job!! ^_^

InkHyaena In reply to SilkenWinds [2009-08-10 13:54:45 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! Yeah, I don't see the point of drawing creatures when the anatomy looks waaaay off. I mean, the whole idea, to me, is to make them look as real as possible.
I'd hate to be the target of a pack of Hyapins. They could run you down easily.
Thanks again! ^_^

She's so awesome looking
I'm glad to see a fullbody quad of her, she's stunning
If you were to make adoptables, I'd really consider nabbing one

Thanks much! I had a lot of fun figuring out the full body design for her. I'm definitely considering making adoptables.
They might be up today or tomorrow, so keep a sharp eye out.
