i just wanted to say , a while back before i had dA i saw this pic and fell in love with it , so i did my own on canvas but its abit different (not as good lol ) but check it out and tell me what you think xxxxxxxxx

Beautiful! It's very much a unique style, I love everything about it except that the rolling clouds are gray, this sort of off-sets the rest of the picture.

thanks! this one is quite a mix of mediums. its all watercolors but then i used charcoal (on the wind), pearled acryllic on the highlights in the scales, and then a touch of glitter here and there.

Ah... AAH... where to start here?
I am not sure..... which one is better.. the hair.. or the scales. I first noticed the scales so let's start there. WOW, amazing attention to detail! Every scale looks individually crafted... much effort (and love) must have gone into each individual scale... and that really shows off... the scales alone are a piece of art. The next thing I noticed was the hair.. but this one is no surprise, for you have captivated your audience with your excellent hair-styling skills since the beginning. Gotta love the swirly detailing of the hair.. the playful strands here and there... and this time even the color shades and shifts from one hue to the next... in harmony with the swirls. It's something to behold.. very pretty
As for the background... the land looks good.. the sea looks refreshing (I really like it), and the.. um.. dark-dead-black-thingies on the top... well those do not really appeal to me. They kinda clash with the image.. for the rest of the image is colorful and full of life.. whereas that top is... I don't know... it lacks that.. maybe it's just me, but I am not too happy with that collision between colorfulness and pale grayscales 
Let's see.. anything else I could be missing... I like her hand and fingers. I don't know why.. but those fingers look so relaxed and natural... I like them. I love the lip's coloring... there's a nice amount of detail placed into the eyes (altough it is somewhat hard to tell) and I generally like the skin tones. The only area where I am not too happy with the skin tones are her backshoulders, where the shades do not blend so smoothly.. and as such ... well, on one side one could say it looks like an oil-canvas image (or something traditional like that.. sorry I am not too good on traditional art terms
Well it's a great image and I was missing seeing more from ya. I really like your signature on the bottom-right, has much style
