Description
Don't ask me why there's an osprey in a moor. Pretend there's a river nearby. My thought for the centaur was to try to make the body type as believable as possible - my main reference was Walt Disney's Fantasia. I also wanted to make it a bit gothy, so I may keep playing with the colours - suggestions?
Also - in typical airheaded fashion, I forgot to edit the description when I edited the image last time, and so neglected to mention that MAJOR inspiration for parts of his *former* tattoos (I was so ashamed of myself that I altered the parts that I used reference for) came from [link] , which features art by the wonderfully talented Alex Morgan and offers a series of downloadable henna tattoo pattern/how-to books called Ancient Blue, which is what I used.

This is really nice, especially that the body looks cohesive. That's something i've been having trouble with in my centaurs. Like, it looks too cut and paste. That's why i really like yours.

Thanks a heap! My favourite centaur body types are from Disney's Fantasia. If you want some FANTASTIC reference, watch the Pastoral Symphony scene.

Watched a zillion times, continuosly amazed that Disney has been cranking out top notch animation so early in the life of the field.

The swirlies in the corners and his tattoos make me think Celtic. Nice job.

Gorgeous lines, as always The textures look great on his body. The font you used looks kinda of eerie and gothy, as does his feathery accessories. Beautiful work!

Gorg, hey? It's a type of raptor called an osprey - I've been obsessed with them since I saw one dive bomb a river when I was ten.

This looks great.
It reminds me of an art style but the name of it slips from me at this time. I hope to find more of your work soon.
Tillnext time.
