Description Work proceeds apace. The floor on this side is almost done, but I still have a lot to add. More gears, pulleys and other miscellaneous bits of pseudomachinery, a few more tools for the hapless thief, and of course the texturing for the tunnel.

THEN I can begin to think about the lighting. Aheh... >_<

Sling away.

Sure, go nuts. But I'd suggest you color the finished version rather than this WIP. I think there's even a fairly hi-res version of the inks linked somewhere around there.

Actually "pseudomachinery" is one of the things I just have to learn how to draw. This work gets looking better and better, is it meant to be published somewhere?

Inkthinker In reply to Gulril [2006-10-12 00:08:28 +0000 UTC]

Well... pseudomachinery is okay, but real machinery is better. The more I understand about the real workings of something mechanical, the better I can make up fake stuff that seems "real enough".

I take that as an advice, and will keep practicing. Keep it up!

dammit man you really have this knack for detail where do you get your patience from

Inkthinker In reply to TheOnlyWarman [2006-10-06 06:28:34 +0000 UTC]

Patience, smatience. I do it in small bursts over a period of time.

TheOnlyWarman In reply to Inkthinker [2006-10-06 12:27:43 +0000 UTC]

yeah but having the patience to work on a piece more than once I mean small burst or no small burst you defintely get bored at some point and want to do something else ? right ?

Inkthinker In reply to TheOnlyWarman [2006-10-06 19:17:00 +0000 UTC]

SOmetimes. That's the nice thing about pieces done for one's self, in that you can step away from them for a while if you get tired of it all.

yeah I guess. but still I am amazed by your level of detail, it's good that you're always aiming for improvement

I wonder how your gallery look like with some collaborations

Uuuuuuuhhhh... ahhhhhhh.... more detail. It's starting to kick ass. I love it. Are you going to color it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Inkthinker In reply to brujaslight [2006-09-30 21:39:08 +0000 UTC]

Not likely. I might tone it though, and of course I'll give it up if you want a shot at it. Kevin's getting one, but he's been busy so he may not do anything with it.

love the stunning details that make your gear / armor / weaponry so WONDERFULL to look at... also it makes a dice roll for "disable trap" seem so empty when we see all that happening

Gettin' there. I've been frequently slipping over into "making it up as I go" territory, which can lead to some chaotic crap, but I think it'll all tie together in the end.

RCatossi [2006-09-29 11:34:58 +0000 UTC]

lots of improvement!
i would suggest you to give her some tight gloves.
for a thief (or lockpicking specialist) her gloves look a little bit too loose.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Inkthinker In reply to RCatossi [2006-09-30 07:22:34 +0000 UTC]

I always figured a thief would want to keep at least some of their fingers exposed, for the sake of touch sensitivity. In this particular case, I think her gloves only serve to protect the palms and perhaps provide a convenient place to stash more picks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RCatossi In reply to Inkthinker [2006-09-30 17:52:34 +0000 UTC]

i didn't mention a full glove, just a smaller size, but i agree with you.

i've already changed my mind in the reply to my own comment (see parent).

thanks
