Description Alone
Waiting
Waiting in the middle of that windswept grassland.
She was too fast.
That was the problem.

“Oh you are fast, you have to do it”
Well that helps precious little, if the courier from the other side is slow.

And so, here she stood.
The sun was going down.
Which meant she would be running trough the night.
Wasn’t that just wonderful.

That is if that snail of a courier came before sunrise.

For how panicked they had sounded on the telegraph, they certainly seemed to be taking their sweet time.

It had been a stupid mistake really.
Two packages.
One note.
Attached to one of them.
Telling them apart.

These were important packages, for which packing had been performed with great haste.

Now, at some point this note had fallen off.
A well meaning passerby had picked it up.
And reattached it.
To the wrong package.
Because of course he had.

The frantic packing had continued.
Only, now, without checking, the wrong items had been put into the wrong package.
Thus both packages had ended up just wrong enough that simply swapping them, would have accomplished nothing.

And so here she stood.

She had asked them:
Couldn’t both sides just meet up with the packages and rearrange them together?
Wouldn’t that be easier?

But apparently no...
These packages were far too important.
And leaving the redistribution in the hands of mere couriers....

“I’m not a courier, I have reminded you of this time and time again.”
“Well the other sides courier probably is.”
“...”

So, both sides had to tell the other side what they were lacking, so that both sides could send over those things, and then send an affirmation, and probably do it all again....
Because that was clearly the best way....

She was looking at running back and forth four times.
