“A two headed deer.”That was what immediately popped into my head…
As I saw it.
Although, of course I knew that was not it.
Knew it far too well.
I had seen this before.
More often than one would think possible.
But in the fog…
I had been walking all night.
And it was staring at me.
It was easy to miss the tangled antlers.
The decay.
The distressed look in the eyes.
The only remaining set of eyes.
It was clear to me then.
How others could make the same observation I had.
In the right light.
And weather.
Suddenly two headed deer would pop up.
Where none existed.
