But here are the ships, top to bottom:

Big MacintoshxTwilight Sparkle (with some Twilight SparklexDr. Whooves): Twilight Sparkle actually had a much more...active love life in Ponyville than she ever could have imagined. Due to spending so much time with the Apple family, she grew close to and eventually got into a relationship with Big Macintosh. They stayed together for a year until Sweet Apple Acres suddenly fell into extremely hard times. Forty percent of the zap apples failed to grow, causing the family to work twice as hard to keep their business from crashing. Thus, Twilight and Big Macintosh could barely see each other when they wanted too. Macintosh became more and more frustrated due to stress, and Twilight eventually ended their relationship to help Big Macintosh focus on his work.

A few months later, a brown earth pony who owned an hourglass shop in Ponyville began visiting the library on a regular basis. Introducing himself as Dr. Whooves, he explained to Twilight that he was studying the theory of time travel. She in turn explained to him that she had in fact traveled through time before. This led to a rather large fangirl spasm from Whooves and Twilight invited him to go to Canterlot with her to see the time travel scrolls. The two bonded and started a relationship, and eventually got married. They had a son; an earth pony named Tick Tock.

Their happiness came to an end when Dr. Whooves left on a business trip to a faraway city and never returned. Sources told Twilight that he never even made it to the said city, and he was presumed dead. Twilight sank into a deep depression after this, her friends trying to help her pull through. One of these friends was in fact Big Macintosh, who had been in many relationships after Sweet Apple Acres was saved but still was sweet on Twilight.

After confessing this to her one night, they started their relationship again, but very slowly. Eventually they married and had a son, a unicorn named Big Apple. ( )

SpikexRarity: Rarity had been aware of Spike's crush on her for a while, and simply shrugged it off as a "coming of age" thing. However, she did enjoy spending time with the baby dragon; he was the only one who willingly helped her find gems and do little things around her boutique. And as the years passed, Rarity did notice Spike's growth from a tiny biped dragon to a handsome quadruped dragon; a little bigger than a pony. The age difference didn't seem like that big a deal now; Spike was only three or four years younger than she was, and dragon aging was much different than pony aging.

One day, Rarity invited Spike on a trip to Canterlot to help her show off some new outfits and such. However, when they got there, they were immediately the subject of gossip. The two knew about it and did their best to ignore it, but after Rarity was publicly insulted by some Canterlot elite, Spike snapped and said that Rarity "was the greatest, most beautiful unicorn ever", even if she spent time with a dragon. Touched by his words, Rarity finally came to terms with her feelings for him and the two got together, eventually having a son, Needles. Rarity why do you look so weird WHYY

SoarinxRainbow Dash: Rainbow Dash and Soarin actually started a close friendship due to all of the time they had spent together, from saving pies to weddings. They frequently talked to each other when ever Dash went to a show, and they sent letters once in a while. In fact, he was the one to convince Spitfire to have her join the Wonderbolts. After she joins the two became unseperable, however, Dash had trouble admitting her feelings cause, you know, she's freakin' Rainbow Dash. After multiple shenanigans (including becoming fiercely jealous of Applejack since she thought she was in a relationship with Soarin. When Dash confronted Soarin about this, he simply replied: "Applejack? Who's that? The mare with the pies? She seems OK.") they eventually got married. They had a daughter named Gale.
