it a pretty fun series, it sort of MIB meets ghostbusters, their goal is to there home town from menacing aliens,cathy is alien from rapzodia ) while in human form, she has ability to stretch her limbs and quite optimisic. danny has crush on a fellow schoolmate name wendy who is voice by tabitha st germain who is the rich, snobby gossip girl.
the way they catch aliens is similar to how luigi catch ghosts.

not exactly, the the capture equipement has a built-in jar, it is a combinanation of the photon guns and the ghost traps, they tech fire and energy beam which sucks the aliens into the gun and into the built-in jar. the monsters busters seem to mixture of ghostbusters and the plumbers from ben 10 because aliens are like crimals and trouble makers.
