It is beautiful But I see where the NARNS from Babylon 5 got their idea for their cruisers.

cool. my only critique at this point would be to be to put some detail in the engines instead of just having white blurs of thrust [link]
and put tons of small details all over the hull

The design looks like a cross between the Imperial Star Destroyer and a Narn G'quan cruiser from Babylon 5.
Really slick stuff!

Actually it is an predecessor of the G'quan and some can be seen briefly in Season1 while docked on a small outpost and destroyed in a Shadow attack.

Excellent! Being an ex-Star Wars fanatic, I really like this deviation.
Uh oh ... I just admitted I like Star Wars...

well you definitely have a strong depth of field on this one. It's very impressive. I'm curious though, is 3d art something that you render and transform? or is this more like a painting? (sorry for the nooby question, 3D is still unfamiliar ground to me.)

First you sculpt the things you see, paint/texture them, arrange them to a scene, then you set lights. You got some kind of virtual camera and the last steps are very similiar to photography.

I love the effect of the light in the background. It makes the image very real to me, for some reason. This is nicely done. Something different that I don't normally see all the time! Great job.

Well, perhaps, because they are Narn cruisers.
They where shown in first season and then only docked on a narn space station which was blown up by shadow battlecrabs seconds later.
