Description This is one of the larger pendants I made. It was almost two inches from bow to stern, and filled with a fabulous labradorite. The colors are a mixture of cool blue-greens which turn into yellows and a hint of orange, all intermingled together. Labradorite originally was discovered in Canada, but I'm not sure where this specific batch was mined.

I wrapped the stone in a simple setting of sterling silver wire, as I am wont to do.

Lovely wrap! Actually, after your teasing about photographing labradorite, it made me think about what exactly the best method was. I ended up talking with my father who's been an amateur photographer for about 25 years or so- he had some ideas about how to go about getting the flash in the stone- if I message you what he said will you tell me if it's right? lol ... If it isn't the same method, feel free to try it out anyway. He seemed 100% sure, but he didn't have all the stuff to do it at hand.

Haha! I am sure that there are many ways of getting a good flash out of feldspar. Feel free to send me a note, and we'll see if I came up with the same idea your dad did.
Though, if your dad doesn't have something around, chances are I don't either…
