Every creature living on Mahtel'ha is sensitive to the life energy of the planet, but a handful of them are rarely born with a special affinity for it. They begin absorbing it with great intensity, and when they grow old they reach gigantic sizes, throwing the environment around them out of balance.

The Kaiju God Sasini, the Embodiment of the Hunt, is the ultimate predator tasked with tracking and killing them all around the planet. He can commune with the Spirits, feeling the disruptions in the life flow, then search for his prey with continent-spanning senses.
No creature, as big or strong as they get, is safe from Sasini, for he has perfect instinctive understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of every living being.

And it comes to play when he is required for his main mission. When a Kaiju God goes turns against the other ones or walks away from his right path, Sasini is the one who must stop him.
He doesn't decide alone. Usually the Spirits tell him through meditation; sometimes Sabi give him advice from his studies, and it's not unheard that all the Kaiju Gods meet to get into an agreement.
Killing a brother like that would be a hearth-crushing task for the rest of them, but Sasini is completely devoted to his duty no matter what. However, he is not a mindless killer, and honour always guide his actions.
