Description
We've yet to determine the breed of this little chick, as it arrived amongst an order of miscellaneous peeps.I liked the composition of this photo so much that I didn't have to crop the image at all.

Where do you get all those cute chicks to pose to you? Just kidding.
But seriously, you seem to have got your hands on a good number of baby birds. I'm really curious about what do you work at to be able to photograph those chicks in studio (even if makeshift or non-professional) environments.

We hatch most of our chicks from an incubator, after which they live happy chicken lives.

At first, I couldn't decide what pose I enjoyed the most; "Golden Fluff" or "Tranquility." However, I prefer this one because the chick is looking towards the camera, and is crouched naturally in this composition. This little guy is a photogenic model. I cannot believe how malleable your chickens are! They are not always cooperate. I also just adore the fluff!!!! My chicks have gotten to the point where they are chasing their new feathers. It is so funny to watch!

No, they don't often cooperate for photos, as I have so many outtakes that never make it to this gallery. It's always worth it, though, just to have one truly good shot.

Haha, I agree! I have so many of my chicks that remain just Polaroids. Your chickens are wonderful little models though, and they are such good companions.

So precious. I had so much fun raising chickens one time. Raised 6 of them. The bad thing is when they were grown they all disappeared one by one. O_O

The disappearances were likely due to predation. Many animals will eat chickens -- especially at night.

Yes, 'tis true. We have a lot of foxes around here, one of those probably got 'em.

I'd have the chance to take many, many more photos if they remained this small & fluffy.

My guess is that this little guy is male based on his wings... but then again they're folded up so i'm most likely wrong. xD
But what a cute little guy! The amount of focus on the face of the chick compared to the rest of the body adds great depth. Awesome (and adorable) work!

You could very well be correct, Nutkase, but without knowing the breed, I can't be sure if this one can be feather sexed. I haven't tried vent sexing this one--I figure time will tell soon enough.
